Viscous fluid applicator pump
An applicator assembly may include an applicator member and a pump. The applicator member may include an applicator surface substantially matching a surface of a pipe or fitting. The pump may cause a fluid to flow via one or more channels onto the applicator surface. When the pipe or fitting is positioned within or around the applicator surface the pump causes the fluid to flow between the applicator surface and the surface of the pipe or fitting applying the fluid to the surface of the pipe or fitting.

Method and apparatus of manufacturing exhaust gas-purifying catalyst
A method of manufacturing an exhaust gas-purifying catalyst comprising: moving a gas-flow control tool from a first position where the gas-flow control tool faces the first end face with the slurry in the reservoir interposed therebetween and is spaced apart from the slurry in the reservoir to a second position where the gas-flow control tool faces the first end face with a distance from the first end face shorter than that in the first position, in a period during which the slurry flows from the first end face's side toward the second end face's side, the gas-flow control tool being configured to generate a distribution of linear velocities of gas flows when the gas-flow control tool faces the first end face and gas is passed therethrough toward the first end face.

Method and System for Treating a Surface
A method of applying a treatment to a surface of an open body having a volume within an interior of the open body comprises; providing an inner structure (110) shaped to complement the shape of the interior of the open body and to fill a major portion of the volume or a major portion of a width of the interior of the open body; positioning the inner structure (110) within the open body in order to form a treatment fluid inner volume comprising an inner space (150) confronting an inner surface within the interior of the open body; and introducing a treatment fluid into the treatment fluid inner volume to thereby modify the inner surface of the open body by applying the treatment using the treatment fluid. Optionally, the method includes providing a tank (120) shaped to complement and contain the open body; positioning the open body within the tank (120) in order to form a treatment fluid outer volume comprising an outer space confronting the outer surface of the open body; and introducing the treatment fluid into the treatment fluid outer volume to thereby modify the outer surface of the open body by applying the treatment using the treatment fluid.
Injection mold system for component core
An injection mold system for injecting slurry into an internal portion of an injection mold component core is disclosed. The system may include a fill clip for injecting slurry into an internal portion of an injection mold component core including a fill member for injecting slurry into the internal portion of the injection mold component core, and a latch member for removably coupling the fill member with the injection mold component core. The system may also include a fill reservoir for collecting excess slurry from the internal portion of the injection mold component core. The fill reservoir may also redistribute the excess slurry back into the internal portion of the injection mold component core.
Apparatus for coating a substrate
The present inventions is concerned with an apparatus and a method of improving the accuracy of coating a ceramic or metallic honeycomb body, which can usually be used as a catalyst in automotive exhaust mitigation. The invention achieves to directly test whether the coating slurry in the coating chamber is ready to be submitted to the monolith or needs to be replaced before coating the monolith.

Apparatus for coating catalyst slurry
A coating apparatus includes: a supply frame for supplying slurry into channels from one end of a honeycomb substrate; and a blower for evacuating a wind box. An annular resistive member is attached to the circumference of the opening of the wind box, and the honeycomb substrate is arranged, with a spacer placed on the resistive member. When the blower is operated and the slurry is supplied, the coat width of the slurry coated on the inner surfaces of the channels in an outer circumferential area is less than the coat width of the slurry coated on the inner surfaces of the channels in a center area.
