An apparatus for delivering a glutinous substance from a cartridge to an applicator comprises a sleeve and a pressure-cap assembly. The pressure-cap assembly comprises a pressure cap, proximate an inlet of the sleeve. The pressure-cap assembly also comprises an actuator, coupled to the pressure cap and to the sleeve. The apparatus further comprises an automated coupler, configured to automatically reversibly sealingly couple the applicator with the leading end of the cartridge.

A washcoat showerhead for depositing a washcoat onto a face of a substrate comprises a housing having an inlet for receiving the washcoat, a showerhead plate and a baffle. The housing and showerhead plate define a showerhead cavity with the baffle located within the showerhead cavity. The showerhead plate has a plurality of nozzle apertures for discharging the washcoat towards the face of the substrate. An apparatus for loading and unloading a brush to and from a brush-arm assembly of an end-effector is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a base and a carriage, which is movable along an axis at least to a first position, a second position, or a third position relative to the base. The carriage comprises a brush receptacle, configured to prevent movement of the brush in a first direction, but not in a second direction, opposite to the first direction, when the brush is placed in the brush receptacle. The apparatus also comprises a stationary component, fixed relative to the base and configured to prevent movement of the brush-arm assembly in the second direction. Additionally, the apparatus comprises a linear actuator, configured to move the carriage.

An apparatus for loading and unloading a brush to and from a brush-arm assembly of an end-effector is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a base and a carriage, which is movable along an axis at least to a first position, a second position, or a third position relative to the base. The carriage comprises a brush receptacle, configured to prevent movement of the brush in a first direction, but not in a second direction, opposite to the first direction, when the brush is placed in the brush receptacle. The apparatus also comprises a stationary component, fixed relative to the base and configured to prevent movement of the brush-arm assembly in the second direction. Additionally, the apparatus comprises a linear actuator, configured to move the carriage.

A material deposition device for decorating an object. The device has a housing as a structural framework, an object holder, and a container releasably coupled to the housing. The housing has an object support for supporting the object to be decorated. The container creates a volumetric enclosure with the housing. The device is configured to deposit decoration materials onto the object.

A method of applying a sealant material to a corner joint, formed by a first planar surface and a second planar surface, comprises positioning a sealant-applicator tip relative to the corner joint such that a first planar face of the sealant-applicator tip is in flush surface contact with and parallel to one of the first planar surface or the second planar surface and a second planar face of the sealant-applicator tip is in flush contact with and parallel to another one of the first planar surface or the second planar surface. The method further comprises advancing the sealant-applicator tip in a first direction along the corner joint while supplying the sealant material to the corner joint through a channel of the sealant-applicator tip and shaping the sealant material, supplied to the corner joint, with a seventh edge of the sealant-applicator tip to form a first bead of the sealant material.

A fluid application device for applying a fluid to a surface and removing the same as necessary. The device may generally comprise a fluid applicator and a textile base member for sanitizing gym equipment, wiping windows, applying sunscreen, and the like. The fluid applicator may comprise a spray applicator, a permeable bladder, and the like. The textile base member may include but is not limited to a hand towel, a wristband, and any other known textile configurations. In one embodiment, the present invention may be used by gym patrons to sanitized gym equipment before and/or after use. The present invention may also be used to clean other surfaces including but not limited to household windows, vehicle windows, and the like. Additional embodiments of the present invention may also be used either to apply sunscreen on a user or as a fishing towel to clean hands and remove odor.
