Adhesive applicator

An adhesive applicator includes a receiver having a tubular body with a closed first end and an opposed second end, the tubular body having a deformable wall, an adhesive composition contained within the tubular body, and an applicator tip mounted on the tubular body and comprising a foam material having an applicator external of the applicator for applying the adhesive, the applicator being such that deformation of the tubular body causes the adhesive to be expressed through the applicator tip. The foam material is a reticulated foam felt and allows for relatively constant flow of the adhesive through the foam felt and to the applicator surface thereof over a wide range of viscosity conditions of the adhesive and pressure applied to the deformable body of the applicator.

A drywall finishing apparatus includes a water reservoir connected to a water distribution element. The water distribution element applies water to a finishing pad. The finishing pad is designed to allow water to flow through and reconstitute already applied drywall mud. The reconstituted drywall mud can then be smoothed out with the finishing pad. The finishing pad creates a hydroplaning effect to glide over the drywall mud.

MEDICAL ADHESIVE APPLICATOR

Medical adhesive applicators are disclosed which allow medical adhesives to have long storage life and be easily dispensed in a controlled manner. In one embodiment, the applicator has a frangible glass vial with the medical adhesive. The frangible glass vial is held in a plastic enclosure with a dispensing tip. Attached to the plastic enclosure is a squeeze tube capable of imparting air pressure into the enclosure. To dispense medical adhesive quickly and with precision, one simply breaks the frangible glass vial and pushes on the squeeze tube. In another embodiment, the applicator has a proximal chamber containing medical adhesive, a distal chamber for dispensing medical adhesive and one or more rupturable membranes between them. To achieve long shelf life, the applicator chambers and membrane(s) are formed from fluorinated plastic. To dispense medical adhesive, one ruptures the membrane(s) and pushes on the sides of the proximal chamber.

A coating tool includes a holder having an applicator head extending between a first end and a second end. The applicator head is hollow along at least part of its length to define an internal cavity delimited by an inner wall. The applicator head has an outer rim at the first end. A foam applicator has a collar portion attached to the outer rim of the applicator head, and a body portion extending from the collar portion inwardly into the applicator head and disposed within the internal cavity to be displaceable relative to the inner wall. The foam applicator has an applicator opening extending through the collar portion and at least part of the body portion. The foam applicator is made of a foam material which, upon receiving a coating, expands inwardly to reduce a volume of the applicator opening. A coating method is also disclosed.

Adhesive dispenser

An adhesive dispenser is includes a plurality of adhesive dispensing parts, each including an adhesive dispensing tube, an adhesive extrusion assembly, and a driving component. The adhesive dispensing tube is configured to carry an adhesive therein. The adhesive extrusion assembly is connected with the adhesive dispensing tube, and is configured to apply a pressure to the adhesive in the adhesive dispensing tube such that the adhesive is dispensed from the adhesive dispensing tube. The driving component is configured to drive adhesive extrusion assemblies of the plurality of adhesive dispensing parts to apply the pressure to the adhesive.
