A multicolor powder center is provided for supplying at least one powder spraying device with different types of coating powder as required. The multicolor powder center has at least one powder container for receiving coating powder and at least one pump unit comprising at least one powder pump, in particular a dense flow pump or a diluted flow pump. The pressure side of the at least one powder pump is fluidically connected or can be fluidically connected to the powder inlet of a powder spraying device. The pump unit is paired with a docking unit, via which the suction side of the at least one powder pump can be fluidically connected to the interior of the powder container as required.
Coating Apparatus with Donor Surface, Application Device, and Surplus Extraction System
An apparatus is disclosed for coating a surface that is movable relative to the apparatus with a layer of metallic particles or particles having a metal-like appearance and reflectivity, the particles adhering more strongly to the surface than to one another. The apparatus comprises at least one spray head for directly or indirectly applying to the surface a fluid stream within which the particles are suspended, a housing surrounding the spray head(s) and defining an interior plenum for confining the fluid stream, the housing having a rim adjacent the surface that is configured to prevent egress of particles from a sealing gap defined between the rim of the housing and the surface to be coated, and a suction source connected to the housing to extract from the plenum the sprayed fluid and particles suspended in the sprayed fluid. In operation, the suction source extracts substantially all particles that are not in direct contact with the surface, so as to leave only a substantially single particle layer adhering to the surface on exiting the apparatus.

Apparatus and method for impregnation by transferring a powder into a porous substrate
An installation for impregnating a porous substrate by transfer of powder, including an area for storing the powder, and an endless conveyor capable of being moved, which includes an external surface containing cavities. The external surface of the conveyor delimits an edge of the storage area to fill said cavities with the powder. The installation comprises a positioner for holding the porous substrate in contact with a fraction of the conveyor length, to seal cavities containing the powder. A drive device enabling to move the conveyor and the porous substrate, and means for displacing the powder are arranged opposite said fraction of the conveyor length, to at least partly displace a portion of the powder across the porous substrate.

Method and device for dosing of a powder for the additive manufacture of a product
A device is provided for layered manufacture of at least a three-dimensional product by an additive manufacturing technique based on a powder. The invention therefore relates to a device for the layered manufacturer of a product based on a powder, in particular a metal powder. This device is fitted with a build chamber with a vertically movable build platform on which said product is manufactured and contains a powder dispenser for application of the successive powder layers on the build platform in a horizontal build surface. The powder dispenser can be moved back and forth over the build surface along a horizontal dispensing direction in order to apply said powder layers. Moreover, the device contains a hopper that must contain said powder in order to supply powder to the powder dispenser. This hopper has a bottom with a dosing opening that lets out into the build chamber and that works in combination with a dosing valve. More specifically, the dosing valve enables a measured quantity of powder to flow out of the hopper.
System and method to produce a bituminous membrane superficially covered by grain-based decorations
A system to produce a bitumen-based membrane provided with a bituminous surface covered by grains. The system comprises a movement device designed to more a preformed membrane in a predefined feed direction, a grain application machine comprising a rotating application drum provided with a plurality of cavities which are designed to receive grains in a loading region of said drum, a grain loading device designed to load the grains in the cavities in the loading region of the drum, and a grain retention device made of sintered polymer material, which is arranged in contact with a retention region for retaining the outer surface of the application drum so as to maintain the grains in the cavities until the latter reach an angular discharge position.
