LOW PRESSURE PLURAL COMPONENT FOAM SPRAY SYSTEM
A method and apparatus for applying a foamed mixture of paints on a structural surface. A continuous stream of high velocity gas moves through a nozzle and is directed toward the structural surface, and two or more paints may be intermittently moved into the gas stream of the nozzle and aerated and mixed with each other and moved with the gas stream to form a foam that is applied to the structural surface. The components of the foamed mixture may include single component or plural component materials such as polyurethane foam, adhesive, and polyurea formulations, and may be moved through a volumetric metering device consisting of material heaters, a heated hose, and an applicator gun. The nitrogen gas stream fluidizes the mixture as it passes through and out of the nozzle and forms the mixture into a foam that is applied to the structural surface.

METHODS OF APPLYING A RAPID CURE SEALANT TO AN AIRCRAFT SURFACE
Applicant discloses a novel method of spray applying multiple courses of a rapid cure, two part polymer sealant to an aircraft surface. The method sometimes uses a two part polymer mix for use in the aircraft industry that is applied with pneumatic mix and spray gun. The two part cartridge is used in the mix and spray gun so the mix is applied immediately upon mixing, but the two components are kept separated unless the gun is applying the mix. The multiple courses cure to form a clear sealant that allows for inspection of cracks and corrosion beneath the sealant. It cures quickly so that the coated part may be further processed, for example in the assembly line during aircraft build. Applicant further discloses multiple spray gun systems for applying such a two-part polymer mix to aircraft parts.
MULTIPLE IMMEDIATE PASS APPLICATION OF HIGH THICKNESS SPRAY FOAMS
A method of applying a closed cell spray foam insulation may include spraying a first layer of a closed cell spray foam insulation into a wall cavity. A B-side mixture of the closed cell spray foam insulation may include a polyol blend having a polyester polyol having a functionality of at least about 3.0 and a polyether polyol. The method may include spraying at least one additional layer of the closed cell spray foam insulation against the first layer within 5 minutes of spraying the first layer.
COATING DIE, COATING DEVICE, COATING METHOD, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SECONDARY CELL
Provided is a coating die enabling coating of two layers of coating films stably. The coating die includes: a first block including a first manifold to receive a first coating liquid; a second block including a second manifold to receive a second coating liquid; and a shim sandwiched between the first block and the second block.

SUBSTRATE TREATMENT APPARATUS AND SUBSTRATE TREATMENT METHOD
According to embodiments, a substrate treatment apparatus includes a housing, a heater and a pipe. The housing stores solution containing phosphoric acid and houses a substrate including a silicon substrate. The heater heats the solution over a normal boiling point of the solution. The pipe supplies heated solution heated by the heater into the housing while generating air bubbles.

Method and apparatus for forming articles with non-uniform discontinuous patterned coatings
A process for applying a coating material onto a substrate as a non-uniform discontinuous pattern of coating material, the method including the present disclosure describes a method of applying a coating material onto a substrate, including providing a first distribution manifold having a cavity and a multiplicity of first dispensing outlets in fluid communication with the cavity, creating relative motion between a substrate and the dispensing outlets in a first direction; dispensing a first coating material from the dispensing outlets while maintaining the relative motion and translating the multiplicity of dispensing outlets in a second direction non-parallel to the first direction, and varying a rate of dispensing of the first coating material in a predetermined fashion to form a discontinuous pattern of the first coating material on a major surface of the substrate. Useful non-uniformly patterned coated articles can be prepared using the process.
