METHOD FOR FORMING A METAL-ORGANIC FRAMEWORK

A method for forming a metal-organic framework comprising a step of providing a substrate; a single step of forming a single layer of metal oxide formed on the substrate said layer of metal oxide being transformed in whole or in part into metal-organic framework by successive implementation of a plurality of reaction cycles; each reaction cycle of the plurality of reaction cycles comprising: a treatment step with at least one ligand; a treatment step with at least one additive; the reaction cycles being implemented at least twice so as to form the metal-organic framework on the substrate.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING, APPLYING AND FIXING A MULTILAYER SURFACE COATING ON A HOST SUBSTRATE, AND HOST SUBSTRATE ASSEMBLY WHICH CAN BE OBTAINED BY SAID METHOD
20210402429 · 2021-12-30 ·

The invention relates to a method for producing, applying and fixing a multilayer surface coating (2a, 3a) on at least one surface (1a) to be coated of a host substrate (1) in order to produce a host substrate assembly. Starting with a fixative product (2) and a functional product (3) based on single-walled or multi-walled graphene, the method consists in successively applying: a layer (2a) of fixative product to the or to each surface (1a) to be coated of the host substrate (1); and a layer of the functional product to said fixative layer (2a). The assembly can be finished with a protective layer deposited directly onto the layer (3a) that contains the functional product. The invention also relates to a host substrate assembly which can be obtained by said method, a heating element, an anti-corrosion and/or anti-fouling/dirt-repelling element and a hydrophobic element each comprising such an assembly.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR APPLYING MULTI-COMPONENT ADHESIVES USING JETTING VALVES
20220227067 · 2022-07-21 ·

An apparatus and method for dispensing a multi-component adhesive using a pair of non-contact jetting valves. The multi-component adhesive is a combination of two or more individual reactive adhesive components, which are not adhesive by nature on their own, but which can be mixed to chemically react and form an adhesive. The individual reactive adhesive components are held and dispensed separately by the apparatus, such that the individual reactive adhesive components do not mix before they are deposited onto the target substrate.

MOLECULAR COATINGS AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING THE SAME

Disclosed herein are molecularly coated surfaces, methods of coating surfaces, and methods of using coatings on surfaces. In some embodiments, the coated surfaces are useful in applications to avoid blemishes on gemstones, confer antimicrobial activity on a surface, confer a therapeutic property to a surface, detect an analyte, change the color of a surface, and or to change the physical and/or chemical properties of a surface.

A medical device includes a resin base including one or more than one material selected from a group consisted by an ethylene propylene resin containing fluorine, a styrene resin containing fluorine, an olefin resin containing fluorine, a vinyl chloride resin containing fluorine, a polyester resin containing fluorine, a polyurethane resin containing fluorine, and a nylon resin containing fluorine; an underlayer formed on the resin base, the underlayer including an oxazolidone ring; and an epoxy resin layer formed on the underlayer.

MULTILAYER DRUG DELIVERY COATING FOR CONTACT LENS

Ophthalmic devices coated with an active agent eluting coating are provided herein. Placement of the coated ophthalmic devices on the surface of eye results in modulation of cells responding to an immune modifying agent and reducing inflammation-related complications in the eye. Methods for treating ocular disorders are also provided herein. The disclosed subject matter is based, in part, on the discovery that ophthalmic devices coated with a cytokine eluting coating can shift early-stage macrophage polarization associated with alleviation of symptoms and causes of inflammatory ocular disorders.

System and Method for Acrylic Coating
20210402428 · 2021-12-30 ·

A system and method for applying a coating to a surface. The coating can include any typical coating, but in some examples includes a styrenated acrylic coating. The coating is first applied. Thereafter, a quick-set formula which includes a brine solution is applied atop the first coating. The quick-set formula sets the first coating. Thereafter, a second coating, or multiple coatings, can be applied atop the first coating. Due to the quick-set formula, the second coating can be applied in less than 15 minutes.
