An application method of applying a liquid agent includes determining any one of positions of the liquid agent at a halfway part between a first end portion and a second end portion in a state in which an application is completed as each of an application start position and an application end position. The method includes applying the liquid agent from the application start position to the first end portion. The method includes turning back from the first end portion and applying the liquid agent to the second end portion, including superimposing, in a height direction, the liquid agent on previously applied liquid agent. The method includes turning back from the second end portion and applying the liquid agent to the application end position, including superimposing, in the height direction, the liquid agent on previously applied liquid agent.

Implementing the post-porosity plasma protection (P4) process using I-CVD

Provided is a pore-filling method for protecting the pores of a porous material. The method, which is performed using a modified i-CVD technique, involves filling the pores of a porous material with a gas phase monomer within a pressure chamber and subsequently polymerizing the monomer, both within the pores and on the surface of the material as an overburden. The method is solvent-free and can fill and protect pores of any size of any material.

Part identifier for use at manufacturing facility

A method is disclosed in which an identifier is to be printed on a surface of a part to be additive manufactured. The identifier is utilized during post-processing of the part at the manufacturing facility, then the identifier is modified so as to no longer be visible before leaving the facility.

Particle Coating Methods and Apparatus

A reactor for coating particles includes a vacuum chamber configured to hold particles to be coated, a vacuum port to exhaust gas from the vacuum chamber via the outlet of the vacuum chamber, a chemical delivery system configured to flow a process gas into the particles via a gas inlet on the vacuum chamber, one or more vibrational actuators located on a first mounting surface of the vacuum chamber, and a controller configured to cause the one or more vibrational actuators to generate a vibrational motion in the vacuum chamber sufficient to induce a vibrational motion in the particles held within the vacuum chamber.
