PHOTOCURABLE COMPOSITIONS AND METHOD OF FORMING TOPOGRAPHICAL FEATURES ON A MEMBRANE SURFACE USING PHOTOCURABLE COMPOSITIONS
Photocurable compositions and methods of preparation and use of such compositions. More particularly, photocurable compositions useful for forming topographical features on surfaces such as membrane surfaces. Methods of forming topographical features on a membrane surface using photocurable compositions.
NANOSCALE THIN FILM DEPOSITION SYSTEMS
A method and system for nanoscale precision programmable profiling on substrates. Profiling material is dispensed on a substrate or a superstrate. The superstrate is brought in contact with the substrate. The profiling material is then cured after bringing the superstrate in contact with the substrate. The superstrate is separated from the substrate after curing. An optical metrology of points on the substrate corresponding to the final substrate profile is then performed.
FOLDING DEVICE AND FOLDING METHOD
A folding device and a folding method are provided. The folding device includes a bearing and fixing mechanism configured to bear and fix a main body portion of a to-be-folded device; a folding mechanism disposed on at least one lateral side of the bearing and fixing mechanism, the folding mechanism being configured to bear a to-be-folded portion of the to-be-folded device and fold the to-be-folded portion to one side in a thickness direction of the main body portion; a first driving mechanism configured to drive the folding mechanism to move along a direction perpendicular to a bearing surface, which bears the main body portion, of the bearing and fixing mechanism; and a second driving mechanism configured to drive the folding mechanism to move close to or away from the bearing and fixing mechanism along a direction parallel to the bearing surface.
Structurally-colored articles and methods for making and using structurally-colored articles
One or more aspects of the present disclosure provide articles of manufacture and components of articles that incorporate an optical element that imparts a structural color to the component or the article. The component comprises a thermoplastic polymeric material, and can include or be made to have a textured surface.
2K thermosetting powder coating compositions
A thermosetting powder coating composition C (PCC C) includes a physical mixture of a thermosetting powder coating composition A (PCC A) with a separate, distinct thermosetting powder coating composition B (PCC B). Also provided are processes for making the thermosetting powder coating composition C and for coating an article with the thermosetting powder coating composition C. A cured thermosetting powder coating composition C (c-PCC C) is also provided so as to obtain articles having coated and cured thereon the thermosetting powder coating composition C. Heat-curing can occur at low temperatures. The cured c-PCC C is a powder coating having at least one desirable property such as excellent resistance to swelling, good smoothness, good chemical resistance, low gloss, and/or low yellowness.

CROSSLINKED POLY(LACTIDE-CO-GLYCOLIDE) (PLGA)-DIMETHACRYLATE COATINGS AND METHODS OF USE
A polymeric medical device/implant coating is disclosed for the delivery of drugs or therapeutic compounds such as antibiotics over an extended period of time and at levels or concentrations that exceed the MIC. In one embodiment, an antibiotic such as vancomycin is encapsulated in a photo-crosslinked poly(lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA)-dimethacrylate coating. The drug release profile of this coating was studied and the initial burst was reduced by photo-crosslinking. Due to photo-crosslinking, an additional diffusional resistance was created, which prevented easy diffusion of the drug into the release medium. Moreover, the time required for this coating process is very quick (e.g., around 5 minutes) and makes it compatible for this coating to be applied in the operating room.
Terminal-equipped electric wire and method of manufacturing terminal-equipped electric wire
In a terminal-equipped electric wire in which a first barrel of a crimp terminal is crimped to a core wire exposed portion of an electric wire, a second barrel of the crimp terminal is crimped to a covering portion of the electric wire, and an anticorrosive portion is formed at least in an opening portion between the first barrel and the second barrel, an adhesive member is arranged on an outer peripheral surface of the covering portion, a base member and adhesive layers of the adhesive member are held in an elastically deformed state by being crimped by the second barrel, the inner adhesive layer of the adhesive member adheres to the entire circumference of the outer peripheral surface of the covering portion, and the outer adhesive layer of the adhesive member adheres to the entire circumference of an inner peripheral surface of the second barrel.
METHOD FOR APPLYING A CARBON-BASED REFLECTIVE OVERCOATING ON A GRAZING INCIDENCE OPTICAL UNIT
A method for applying a carbon-based reflective overcoating on a grazing incidence optical unit comprising a substrate and a coating of a high-density material chosen from the group comprising gold, platinum, iridium, palladium, rhodium, ruthenium, chrome and nickel or a low-density material such as carbon or B4C; the method comprises the step of treating the optical unit with a solution or gaseous phase containing at least one polymer precursor material to create the overcoating through absorption of the polymer material on the coating.
