In a member inspection device and a member repairing method, an irradiation device irradiates a surface of a member to be inspected with light, an image pickup device picks up an image of a surface portion irradiated with the light, a failure detection device detects a failure area on the basis of a photographed image picked up by the image pickup device, and a determining device classifies the shape of the failure area detected by the failure detection device.
Asphalt Coating Compositions and Methods
The present disclosure includes systems and methods for applying a coating system to a surface. An example method includes spraying an asphalt emulsion onto a surface at a rate of between about 0.12 and 0.20 gallons per square yard, the asphalt emulsion having: an asphalt blend comprising gilsonite, wherein at least a portion of the gilsonite is modified to possess a positive charge; one or more polymers, and one or more surfactants. The method may include applying a fine aggregate onto the asphalt emulsion. The fine aggregate may be applied at a rate of 2.5 pounds per square yard. In such an aspect, the asphalt emulsion may be sprayed at a rate of about 0.18 gallons per square yard, and the asphalt emulsion may contain about 56% solid asphalt residues by weight of the asphalt emulsion. In another aspect the fine aggregate may be applied at a rate of about 1.25 pounds per square yard, the asphalt emulsion may be sprayed at a rate of about 0.17 gallons per square yard, and the asphalt emulsion may contain about 37% solid asphalt residues by weight of the asphalt emulsion.

A method for stripping a coating off of a blade includes discharging liquid nitrogen through a nozzle onto the blade at a coating to cause lifting of the coating from a substrate of the blade and traversing the nozzle along the blade to cause peeling of the coating off of the substrate of the blade as the nozzle traverses the blade.

Disclosed are methods, systems and computer program products for producing and applying a spray foam producing mixture onto a surface, and imaging a spray cone, or the applied surface, using an infrared or an optical imaging device to capture an image, and then determining, based on the captured image, if a defect that requires correction exists in the spray cone or in the applied surface; and optionally, in response to determining that a defect requiring correction exists, modifying a process parameter in producing or applying spray foam.

A method of directing a vehicle body through a paint process includes obtaining, by a vehicle manufacturing system, process operation data from a vehicle body process. The process operation data is indicative of an operation state of an identified machine performing a selected body operation as part of the vehicle body process. The method includes determining, by the vehicle manufacturing system, whether a recognized fault has occurred based on the process operation data, identifying a potential vehicle body imperfection based on a paint process model and the recognized fault, and providing, by the vehicle manufacturing system, a notification to the paint process of the potential vehicle body imperfection for the vehicle body, where the notification includes location information of the potential vehicle body imperfection, a remedial action for addressing the potential vehicle body imperfection, a recommended resource allocation, or a combination thereof.
Apparatus and method for applying asphalt binder compositions including void reducing asphalt membrane compositions for paving applications
An apparatus for applying an asphalt binder composition to a roadway during construction or repair of an asphalt pavement which apparatus include: a mobile vehicle having a chassis extending in a longitudinal direction which longitudinal direction is aligned with a forward/rearward direction of travel of said mobile vehicle; at least one storage tank supported on the chassis containing an asphalt binder composition; and at least one spray nozzle configured to dispense the asphalt binder composition from the at least one storage tank in a longitudinal strip or band having a width that is no greater that a width of the asphalt binder composition dispensed by one of the at least one spray nozzle. The at least one spray nozzle can include a plurality of spray nozzles that are coupled to a common spray bar. According to one embodiment the asphalt binder composition is a void reducing asphalt membrane composition that is provided between adjacent asphalt pavement passes.

It is an object of the present invention to fix a silane-based coating in a highly durable state on a resinous base. A coating material for a primer fixes a silane-based coating on a resinous base. The coating material contains a polyacrylic acid, and an alkoxysilane having two or more alkoxy groups in its molecule and/or a hydrolysis product thereof. The use of the coating material for a primer of the present invention makes it possible to form a coating for imparting an effect of suppressing slime deposition on the resinous base.
Apparatus and Method for Applying Asphalt Binder Compositions Including Void Reducing Asphalt Membrane Compositions for Paving Applications
An apparatus for applying an asphalt binder composition to a roadway during construction or repair of an asphalt pavement which apparatus include: a mobile vehicle having a chassis extending in a longitudinal direction which longitudinal direction is aligned with a forward/rearward direction of travel of said mobile vehicle; at least one storage tank supported on the chassis containing an asphalt binder composition; and at least one spray nozzle configured to dispense the asphalt binder composition from the at least one storage tank in a longitudinal strip or band having a width that is no greater that a width of the asphalt binder composition dispensed by one of the at least one spray nozzle. The at least one spray nozzle can include a plurality of spray nozzles that are coupled to a common spray bar. According to one embodiment the asphalt binder composition is a void reducing asphalt membrane composition that is provided between adjacent asphalt pavement passes.
REAL-TIME DETECTION AND CORRECTION OF PRINTED CIRCUITRY
A method is provided for detecting faults in a conductive circuitry. The method includes: printing the conductive circuitry on top of a substrate using a printing head; heating the conductive circuitry with a heat source; scanning the heated conductive circuitry with a non-contact thermal detector; detecting, with the non-contact thermal detector and concurrently with the printing of the conductive circuitry, the faults where the printing head failed to print; and reprinting the faults with the printing head.
System and method for application of a surface compound
A compound delivery applicator comprising a substantially conical portion comprising a first end configured to couple to a compound receptacle and an applicator blade coupled to the substantially conical portion. The applicator blade comprises a first portion extending outwardly along a longitudinal axis of and from a second end of the substantially conical portion, the first portion comprising a first side edge and a second side edge each forming an acute angle relative to the longitudinal axis of the substantially conical portion and a scraper coupled to the first portion distal the substantially conical portion. The compound delivery applicator further comprises a compound delivery channel extending internally through at least a portion of the substantially conical portion, the compound delivery channel further extending through the scraper of the applicator blade and configured to pass a compound therethrough.
