Methods for sealing an internal composite vent stringer
A method of sealing an aircraft wing vent stringer may include placing a movable sealant sled in a vent stringer cavity of an aircraft wing. The sealant sled may include a sealant source configured to apply sealant to a wing portion within the vent stringer. The sealant sled may be transported through the cavity in a longitudinal direction defined by the wing, thereby applying a layer of sealant to the wing. In some cases, vent stringer may be abraded and/or washed before sealing. In some cases, two or more layers of sealant may be applied, one of which may be a secondary fuel barrier.

System and method for coating tubes
The present invention relates to coating of tubes, and more particularly to a system and method for coating and/or renovating deteriorated or pitted tubes to extend tube life and enhance performance. Using this system and method a thin coating is applied to the interior of a tube such that the coating is uniform in thickness and covers all regions of the tube. The coating material may be selected to minimize changes in heat transfer or may be selected to provide for the change in working fluid within the tube such that the working fluid does not negatively interact with the tube material.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING GRADIENT COIL ASSEMBLIES
A method of manufacturing includes producing a gradient coil assembly having one or more cooling channels for a magnetic resonance imaging system by a process that includes printing a cooling channel template having a first end, a second end, and a hollow passage extending between the first end and the second end, disposing a dielectric material over at least a portion of the cooling channel template to generate a dielectric layer having the cooling channel template, and removing the cooling channel template from the dielectric layer to thereby produce the one or more cooling channels within the dielectric layer such that the one or more cooling channels have a pattern corresponding to a geometry of the cooling channel template.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF COATING PRODUCTS
Systems and methods are provided for coating interior surfaces of products with coating material. The systems and methods can include at least one plug to selectively close an opening of the product, wherein the plug is movable relative to the opening between a first position in which the plug is retracted from the opening and a second position in which the plug is engaged with the opening to seal the opening. When the plug is in the second position, a pump delivers coating material to the cavity of the product via a fluid line and a port in the plug. The coating material can fill the cavity, and an electrode can be energized to coat the interior surface of the product with an electrophoretic deposition process. Other coating processes can also be used in a similar manner.
Method for preparing rotolined articles
Method for rotolining metallic hollow articles with metallocene-produced polyethylene.
Method for coating pipe with acid-curable resin and acid curing agent
In the coating method, a pipe for transporting oil and/or gas mined from underground is provided. An acid curable resin is passed through the pipe to adhere the acid curable resin to at least a part of an inner wall of the pipe. Then, an acid curing agent is passed through the pipe to allow the acid curing agent to make contact with the acid curable resin such that the acid curable resin is cured.
Method of dispensing a material
A method and system for dispensing a material through a delivery apparatus is provided. The material initially comprises or is manipulated to comprise a low viscosity. The material either can comprise a curable material or can comprise initiators, which can be activated to raise the viscosity at a later time and position. The low viscosity material is moved through the delivery apparatus for a relatively long distance using low energy. Upon nearing an end use application, the material and/or initiators can be activated by a curing agent, such as a light or heat source, such that the viscosity of the material be raised prior to the end use application thereof. Therefore, the present invention provides a method and system for moving a material normally having a higher viscosity a long distance requiring lower energy and pressure.

Method for coating a five-sided container with sag-resistant water-based coating compositions
The present invention provides a water-based coating and/or coating system used to form sag resistant wet layers or coatings on a wide range of substrates. The coating system is effective for protecting metal-containing substrates, such as intermodal cargo containers, against corrosion. As an overview, the present invention provides water-based compositions as primer coats on substrates, and methods for applying the same to substrates. The method includes steps of applying a water-based paint to the interior surfaces of a substrate and drying the substrate by continuously forcing heated air onto the substrate as it moves through a drying chamber. Desirably, the primer incorporates a high level of one or more CAS agents for excellent sag resistance while drying in a broad range of relative humidity environments. Alternatively, modifications can be made to control temperature and humidity during spray application and drying as a way to increase sag resistance of the coating.
