Antimicrobial packaging films
The present invention is directed to a thermoplastic packaging film coated with an antimicrobial coating, a method for the preparation of the coated film and packaging articles made with the film.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR DEPOSITION OF BLENDED POLYMER FILMS
Methods and systems for deposition of blended polymer films are disclosed. According to an aspect a method of producing a film on a substrate includes combining a guest material, a host matrix, and a solvent having one or more hydroxyl (O—H) bonds to form a target emulsion. The method also includes exposing the target emulsion to an infrared source that is tuned to an absorption peak in the host matrix that is reduced in or absent from the guest material thereby desorbing the host matrix from the target emulsion and lifting the guest material from the surface of the target emulsion. The target emulsion and the substrate are oriented with respect to each other such that the lifted guest material is deposited as a film upon the substrate.
Buff-coated article and method of making the same
A method of making a buff-coated article includes disposing a tie layer on at least a portion of a major surface of a substrate and buff-coating a powder onto at least a portion of the tie layer. Buff-coated articles are also disclosed.
Machine for the plasma treatment of containers, comprising offset depressurization/pressurization circuits
Machine (1) for the plasma treatment of containers (3), which comprises: a chamber (5) suitable for receiving a container (3) to be treated, a cover (8) defining a nozzle (9) in the extension of the chamber (5); a duct (14) for depressurization the container (3), which duct opens into the nozzle (9) and connects the latter to a vacuum source (15); a first valve (19) having a closed position, in which it closes off the depressurization duct (14), and an open position, in which it brings the nozzle (9) and the vacuum source (15) into communication; a duct (27) for pressurizing the container (3), separate from the depressurization duct (14), this pressurization duct (27) emerging in the nozzle (9) beyond the depressurization duct (14) and connecting the nozzle (9) to a pressure source (28); and a second valve (29) having a closed position, in which it closes off the pressurization duct (27), and an open position, in which it brings the nozzle (9) and the pressure source (28) into communication.
Printed polyester film based laminate, method of making and application thereof
The present disclosure provides a polyester film based laminate comprising: an outer polyethylene layer; a core layer of a printed polyester film; and an inner polyethylene layer; an article made of said laminate. The printing on the said polyester film based laminate can be a reverse printing. The present disclosure further provides a method for producing a polyester film based laminate.
COATING METHOD AND BODY OF AUTOMOBILE
A coating method comprises a workpiece acquiring step of acquiring a workpiece in which a metal member and a resin member the surface of which is activated by electron beam irradiation are connected to each other, and a coating step of applying a coating material to the metal member and the resin member of the workpiece.
WATER-SOLUBLE BARRIER FILM
A water-soluble film comprising an integrated water-dispersible barrier against any permeation.
METHOD OF MASKING AND PRETREATING A PLASTIC PART PRIOR TO BEING SPRAY-PAINTED
A method of masking and pretreating a plastic part prior to being spray-painted including the steps of providing a plastic part having one or more adhesive bond lines. The plastic part is typically an exterior automotive component having a painted show surface. Examples of plastic parts include but are not limited to lift gates, running boards, door trim pieces, spoilers, tail gates, front fascias and rear fascias. The method can also be used in connection with metal parts or any other application where a surface of the part will be painted and other surfaces on the part need to be protected from direct paint spray or paint overspray.
WINDOW AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A window includes a base substrate including a planar portion and a curved portion surrounding at least a part of the planar portion, a front cover layer disposed on the base substrate, a flat cover layer overlapping the planar portion and disposed on the base substrate, and a bending cover layer overlapping the curved portion and disposed on the base substrate. The front cover layer and the bending cover layer each include an inorganic material.
COATING AGENT FOR MODIFYING HEAT SEALABLE SUBSTRATE, LAMINATE, AND METHOD OF PRODUCING THE LAMINATE
A coating agent including a block copolymer capable of forming a lamellar microphase separation structure, and a liquid medium. The block copolymer includes a first block (A1) forming a non-adsorptive layer, and a second block (B1) forming a layer that is adhesive or fusible to a heat sealable substrate, the first block (A1) includes a copolymer having nitrile group-containing (meth)acrylic monomer units and alkyl group-containing (meth)acrylic monomer units, and the alkyl group-containing (meth)acrylic monomer units are included in a proportion of 0.1 mol-0.8 mol with respect to 1 mol of the nitrile group-containing (meth)acrylic monomer units.
