APPLICATION DEVICE
The invention relates to an application device, in particular for planar or bar-shaped workpieces of wood, comprising a device for applying a strip or an adhesive to an adhesive bonding surface of the workpiece, in particular for the adhesive bonding of the workpiece to an element to be adhesively bonded, the application device being of modular design, having a number of sub-devices for performing partial process steps.
COATING PROCESS FOR ENGINEERED FENCE PANELS OR PICKETS
An apparatus and method of applying a finish or paint coating in a prefinishing or finishing line to a fencing panel or picket that disguises the screen-back texture of the engineered wood substrate. After paint or similar coating is applied (such as by one or more spray nozzles) to a face to a fence picket or fencing product or component, the fence picket passes under a roller, brush, or roller brush or similar paint applicator while the paint is still wet. The roller/brush removes some of the paint and applies an angled pattern to the face, which disguises the screen-back texture of the substrate.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DRYING WOOD PRODUCTS
Systems and methods for treating wood products are provided. The methods comprise preconditioning the wood product by irradiating one or more surfaces of the wood product with infrared (IR) and/or ultraviolet (UV) radiation and subsequently treating the wood product. The systems comprise one or more fixtures positioned to irradiate one or more surfaces of the wood product with IR and/or UV radiation, wherein each fixture comprises a reflector and a radiation source.
Method for Applying Graphic Product to Flooring Surface
A system and method for installing a graphic design on a flooring surface, where a vinyl decal displaying the graphic design is applied to a flooring surface, which may optionally be pre-sealed prior to vinyl application, and where after application of the vinyl decal flooring surface, one or more layers of sealer are applied to the floor, covering the vinyl decal and the areas surrounding the vinyl decal (thereby providing a permanent or semi-permanent vinyl application), and finally one or more layers of floor finish are applied to the surface to result in a finished floor displaying the graphic design.
METHOD FOR STRENGTHENING A BIODEGRADABLE OR COMPOSTABLE SUBSTRATE USING ANNEALING WAX PROCESS
A method for coating an article using a wax solution for providing strength to its structure while formulating the wax so it is biodegradable and compostable after the article is spent. The method using an annealing process of rapidly cooling the wax to increase its strength to a desired hardness.
Silica-Based Matting Agents and Methods of Making and Using the Same
Improved silica-based matting agents are disclosed. The matting agents are useful in waterborne coatings composition to provide exceptional properties to a wood based substrate. Films resulting from the silica-based matting agents on a wood substrate unexpectedly provide improved chemical resistance and/or film clarity to the surface of the wood substrate. Methods of making and using the matting agents are also disclosed.
METHOD FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF A FLOOR TILE WITH A WOOD BASED SUBSTRATE
A method for the manufacture of a floor (1), comprising at least the following successive steps: obtaining a substrate (2) having at least a wood based upper layer (4); coating the substrate (2), wherein coating the substrate (2) comprises applying at least a first layer of coating (15) on the upper surface (13), curing the first layer of coating (15) using UV rays, applying a second layer of coating (17) on the first layer of coating (15), and curing the second layer of coating (17) using UV rays, wherein the first layer of coating (15) contains a hardener and the second layer of coating (17) contains a filler; applying a primer layer (7) on the coated substrate; digitally printing a dcor (9) on the primer layer (7); and applying a top coat (11) on the dcor (9).
Method for Producing an Abrasion-Resistant Wood Composite Board, and Production Line Therefor
A method for producing an abrasion-resistant wood-based panel with a top side and a bottom side, wherein at least one decorative layer, in particular as a printed decoration, is provided on the top side, includes applying at least one first resin layer to the at least one decorative layer on the top side of the wood-based panel, uniformly scattering abrasion-resistant particles onto the first resin layer on the top side of the wood-based panel; wherein the first resin layer on the top side of the wood-based panel provided with the abrasion-resistant particles is not dried after application, and applying at least one second resin layer to the first, moist resin layer provided with the abrasion-resistant particles on the top side of the wood-based panel, then drying the assembly of first resin layer and second resin layer on the top side of the wood-based panel in at least one drying apparatus.
WOOD TREATMENT METHOD
Disclosed is a method for treating a grained material. A nonlimiting example of the method includes the operations of providing a workpiece having grains, exasperating a surface of the workpiece to open the grains, applying at least one coat of a base paint to the exasperated surface, applying at least one layer of clear coat on the base paint, applying at least one of a glaze and a paint on the clear coat, and surface treating to reveal grains of the workpiece. Disclosed also are items of furniture and sheet materials treated by the aforementioned process.
HARD COATINGS WITH HIGH CHEMICAL AND MECHANICAL STABILITY
The present invention relates to coatings which have high stability with respect to chemical and mechanical impacts. Said coatings are obtainable by crosslinking polyisocyanates with a low oligomer content.
