20250205729 · 2025-06-26 · ·

A method and a system for coating products are provided. The method includes the steps of applying a coating liquid to a product and removing excess coating liquid from the product. It is desirable to provide a method and system for efficiently and reliably coating delicate or easily deformable products, such as products molded from a pulp fiber slurry. The method includes fixing the product to a receiving portion of a product carrier that is configured in the same shape as the product, such that an exterior surface of the product abuts the interior concave surface of the receiving portion of the device. A coating liquid is applied to the product in the product carrier. The product carrier is affixed to a centrifuging device and the coating liquid is dispersed over the surface of the product using centripetal force.

WATER-BASED BARRIER COATING OF NATIVE SUBSTANCES FOR PAPER, CARDBOARD OR MOULDED PULP

The invention relates to natural, depolymerized, powdered polymers and mixtures thereof and aqueous solutions prepared therefrom for the production of a barrier coating on paper, cardboard, or moulded pulp. The barrier coating is used to reduce the diffusion of oxygen, mineral and food oils, and fatty substances through the paper, cardboard or moulded pulp. A 2 wt. % of the aqueous solutions has a viscosity in a range of from 1 to 100 mPa.Math.s as measured with a rotational viscometer at room temperature and 20 rotations per minute. The natural, depolymerized, powdered polymers are selected from a group of guar gum, tara gum, sesbania gum, locust bean gum, alginates, or carrageenans such that the barrier coating is free from halogenated polymers.

Biodegradable paper barrier laminate

A biodegradable paper laminate comprising a water-dispersible barrier against permeation.

Method and system for forming a packaging material

A method for forming a resultant material. The method can include obtaining a base material including a fibrous material with a plurality of fiber portions extending from a face of the base material. The method further can include treating at least the face of the base material, the treating at least the face including applying heat along at least a portion of the face with a treatment unit to at least partially remove the plurality of fiber portions extending from the face.

A coated cellulosic structure includes a cellulosic sheet substrate, a basecoat layer on the cellulosic sheet substrate, and a barrier layer on the basecoat layer. The barrier layer has an average thickness (AT) in a range of from about 1 m to about 6 m. The barrier layer has a uniformity in thickness characterized by a coefficient of variation (CV) of 0.7 or less, wherein CV=/AT, wherein is the standard deviation of the thickness.

A METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A CELLULOSE PRODUCT AND A CELLULOSE PRODUCT

A cellulose product comprising a non-flat cellulose product structure, a protective inner layer, and a protective outer layer. The cellulose product structure comprises an interior surface, an exterior surface, and an edge structure arranged between the interior surface and the exterior surface. The protective inner layer is applied to the interior surface, and the protective outer layer is arranged in connection to the exterior surface of the cellulose product structure. The protective inner layer and the protective outer layer are forming an integrated structure that is fully enclosing the cellulose product structure, and a sealed outer volume is formed by the protective inner layer and the protective outer layer.
