The present disclosure provides a lightweight tile. The lightweight tile has a tile body and a lacquer layer overlaying on the tile body. The tile body is composed of a rigid foamed resin having a plurality of void cells. The density of the rigid foamed resin is 0.2 to 0.45 g/cm.sup.3. The lightweight tile provided in the present disclosure is less dense than the conventional ceramic tiles. In addition, the heat insulation and sound insulation of the lightweight tile are excellent.
ADAPTIVE MICROTEXTURING OF A COMPOSITE MATERIAL
An article including a composite including a subsurface structure and a second phase of material forming a coating on the subsurface structure. The coating includes a first region defining a first plurality of microtextures in an outer surface of the coating, where the first plurality of microtextures include an average bore width of less than about 250 micrometers (m) and a first average bore depth, and a second region positioned adjacent to the first region wherein the coating defines a second plurality of microtextures on the outer surface of the coating, where the second plurality of microtextures include an average bore width of less than about 250 m and a second average bore depth less than the first average bore depth.
DECORATIVE BOARD AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
A decorative board in the present disclosure includes a primer layer, a concealing layer, a colorant layer and a topcoat layer containing ultraviolet-curable resin on a base material in this order. A method for manufacturing the decorative board in the present disclosure includes a stretching process, an irradiation process, and a separation process. The stretching process includes forming the primer layer, the concealing layer, and the colorant layer on the base material in this order; applying a ultraviolet-curable coating material containing ultraviolet-curable resin; placing a plastic film on the applied ultraviolet-curable coating material, placing a roller on the plastic film, and stretching the ultraviolet-curable coating material by rolling the roller. The irradiation process includes forming the topcoat layer by hardening the ultraviolet-curable coating material by ultraviolet ray irradiation. The separation process includes separating the plastic film after the irradiation.
COATED FILTERS
The present disclosure relates to a powder coated article for filtering particulate matter from exhaust gases. The powder coated article comprises a coated monolith article, and a powder coating on the coated monolith article. The coated monolith article is a monolith article coated with an on-wall washcoat, and the powder coating comprises an inorganic particle and a silicone resin in a ratio of between 50:1 to 1:9. The present disclosure also relates to a method forming said powder coated article.
Process for coating of articles
A process of providing an antibacterial coating to the surface of an article including the steps of applying a layer of an antibacterial precursor layer to the surface of an article to which an antibacterial coating is to be applied, wherein said antibacterial precursor layer is a precursor from which the coating is to be formed; and directing a neutral molecular hydrogen flux from a neutral molecular hydrogen flux emission source towards the surface of the article. Upon impact of neutral hydrogen molecules on molecules at or on the surface of an article, the bonds of the antibacterial precursor layer are selectively ruptured, and wherein the selectively ruptured bonds cross-link with themselves or with other chemical moieties at said surface or a combination thereof, resulting an antibacterial coating being formed on the surface of the article.
