FILM FORMING APPARATUS
Inside a heating space of a heating chamber, a first heating treatment of moving a substrate along a substrate moving direction is performed by a first conveyor. After that, first conveyance processing of moving the substrate along a conveying direction is performed by a second conveyor. At this time, source mist is sprayed on the substrate by first thin film forming nozzles. Subsequently, second heating treatment is performed by a third conveyor. After that, second conveyance processing is performed by a fourth conveyor. At this time, source mist is sprayed on the substrate by second thin film forming nozzles.
Powder based balancing layer
A method of manufacturing a building panel with a decorative surface layer, a core and a balancing and/or protective layer, wherein the method includes applying a first layer of a first powder based mix, including wood fibres and a thermosetting binder, on a core; applying a liquid substance on the first powder based mix; drying the first powder based mix; turning the core with the dried first powder based mix such that the first powder based mix points downwards; applying a second layer on the upper part of the core; and curing the first and second layers by providing heat and pressure, wherein the first layer forms the balancing and/or protective layer and the second layer forms the decorative surface layer in the building panel.
Transparently coated polycarbonate component, its production and use
The present invention relates to a multilayer construction containing a support or frame composed of a nontransparent polymer as layer c) and a transparent layer b) based on a thermoplastic polymer having a solar transmittance TDS of more than 20%, determined in accordance with ISO 13837:2008 at a layer thickness of 4 mm, and a siloxane-based protective layer a) which is applied to layer c) and layer b), wherein the siloxane layer a) is selectively postcured in selected regions by means of ultrashort-wave UV radiation, and to a method for selective surface treatment.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING LACQUER-COATED ELECTRICAL STRIPS, AND LACQUER-COATED ELECTRICAL STRIP
A process for producing a coated electrical steel strip includes application of a pretreatment layer over a first flat side of a rolled electrical steel strip. The layer thickness of the pretreatment layer is in the range from 10 nm to 100 nm, in particular from 20 nm to 50 nm. The rolled electrical steel strip which has been coated with the pretreatment layer is then coated with an insulating lacquer layer over the pretreatment layer. The insulating lacquer layer is applied by roll application using a roll and no deliberate drying and/or crosslinking of the pretreatment layer is carried out after application of the pretreatment layer and before coating with the insulating lacquer layer.
METHOD TO EMULATE AN OIL PAINTING
An inkjet image printed onto a absorbable coated releasable carrier, transposed and adhered permanently to a surface designed for oil painting on, the removal of the releasable carrier, the exposure of a muted surface which color may be of a ghosted white, with the printed image being hidden from view and an oil being brushed into the ghosted white color surface to reveal the underlying color image, thereafter creating a finished oil painting.
FILM FORMING APPARATUS
In a film forming apparatus of the first embodiment, an infrared radiation apparatus and a thin film forming nozzle are separately disposed from each other so that heating treatment performed in a heating chamber and mist spray treatment performed in a film forming chamber are not affected by each other. The film forming apparatus of the first embodiment performs the heating treatment of infrared radiation of the infrared radiation apparatus in the heating chamber and then performs the mist spray treatment of the thin film forming nozzle in the film forming chamber.
COATING PROCESS FOR ENGINEERED FENCE PANELS OR PICKETS
An apparatus and method of applying a finish or paint coating in a prefinishing or finishing line to a fencing panel or picket that disguises the screen-back texture of the engineered wood substrate. After paint or similar coating is applied (such as by one or more spray nozzles) to a face to a fence picket or fencing product or component, the fence picket passes under a roller, brush, or roller brush or similar paint applicator while the paint is still wet. The roller/brush removes some of the paint and applies an angled pattern to the face, which disguises the screen-back texture of the substrate.
PROCESSES FOR COATING RETICULATED FOAMS
A substrate for use in an aqueous slurry has a polymeric coating to provide a compliant and sticky surface. The polymer coating has a chemical to render the surface hydrophobic so as to attract hydrophobic or hydrophobized mineral particles in the slurry. The substrate can take the form of a conveyor belt, a bead, a mesh, an impeller, a filter or a flat surface. The substrate can also be an open-cell foam. The polymeric coating can be modified with tackifiers; plasticizers; crosslinking agents; chain transfer agents; chain extenders; adhesion promoters; aryl or alky copolymers; fluorinated copolymers and/or additives; hydrophobizing agents such as hexamethyldisilazane; inorganic particles such as silica, hydrophobic silica, and/or fumed hydrophobic silica; MQ resin; and/or other additives to control and modify the properties of the polymer.
Method for Producing an Abrasion-Resistant Wood Composite Board, and Production Line Therefor
A method for producing an abrasion-resistant wood-based panel with a top side and a bottom side, wherein at least one decorative layer, in particular as a printed decoration, is provided on the top side, includes applying at least one first resin layer to the at least one decorative layer on the top side of the wood-based panel, uniformly scattering abrasion-resistant particles onto the first resin layer on the top side of the wood-based panel; wherein the first resin layer on the top side of the wood-based panel provided with the abrasion-resistant particles is not dried after application, and applying at least one second resin layer to the first, moist resin layer provided with the abrasion-resistant particles on the top side of the wood-based panel, then drying the assembly of first resin layer and second resin layer on the top side of the wood-based panel in at least one drying apparatus.
Method for enhancing resistance to delamination of a coating layer applied to a rigid, monolithic substrate
The present disclosure provides a method for enhancing resistance to delamination of a coating layer applied to a rigid, monolithic substrate (204, 404). The method comprises forming a plurality of holes (208, 408) on the substrate (204, 404), to define passages from a first operative surface to a second operative surface of the substrate (204, 404). The first operative surface is coated with a first coating material and the second operative surface is coated with a second coating material, to obtain a first operative surface having a first coating layer (202, 402), and a second operative surface having a second coating layer (206, 406). A portion of the first coating material and/or the second coating material is allowed to flow through the passages to configure contiguous ties (210, 410) between the first and the second coating layer. The contiguous ties formed between the first and the second coating layer aid in enhancing the resistance to delamination of the coating layer applied to the rigid, monolithic substrate (204, 404).
