CURABLE COMPOSITIONS, ARTICLES THEREFROM AND METHODS OF MAKING COATED SUBSTRATES THEREWITH
The present invention generally relates to curable compositions that include a benzoxazine resin and a polyamide resin, wherein the polyamide resin is a reaction product of (i) a dicarboxylic acid, wherein the dicarboxylic acid includes a non-aromatic, dicarboxylic dimer acid and the mole fraction of the non-aromatic, dicarboxylic dimer acid is between from 0.10 to 1.00, based on the total moles of dicarboxylic acid used to form the polyamide resin; and (ii) a diamine; and wherein the polyamide resin is amine terminated and includes amine end-groups. The curable compositions may be used to produce an article comprising a cured composition wherein the cured composition is the reaction product of the curable composition according to any one of the curable compositions of the present disclosure. The present invention also relates to methods of coating substrates using the curable compositions of the present disclosure.
PIPE AND PIPE SUPPORT PROTECTION PROCESS AND COMPOSITION THEREFOR
A process and composition for coating a pipe and a pipe support includes mixing a cellulose acetate, a plasticizer, and an oil together so as to form a solid mixture, heating the solid mixture so as to form a liquid state, covering an area of the joinder of the pipe and the pipe support with the liquid state, and drying the liquid state on the area of the joinder. An ethylene-based polymer stabilizer is added to the mixture of the cellulose acetate, the plasticizer and the oil. The oil migrates by gravity from the liquid state from the covered pipe into an area of contact between the pipe and the pipe support. The liquid state is applied around the outer diameter of the pipe and over the outer surface of the pipe support underlying the outer diameter of the pipe.
METALLIC INGOT FOR IMPACT PRESSING, CYLINDRICAL METAL MEMBER, AND ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC PHOTORECEPTOR
A metallic ingot for impact pressing includes a contact surface of the metallic ingot to contact a male mold in impact pressing having a maximum height roughness Rz of 20 m to 50 m and an average length of a roughness curve element RSm of 150 m to 400 m, the male mold being to be used in combination with a female mold in the impact pressing.
ENHANCED THERMAL COATING (FROG SKIN) FOR MUZZLE DEVICES
A method of manufacturing a firearm component comprising: providing a body having an exterior surface; applying a first coating layer to the exterior surface; after coating the exterior surface, affixing a granular aggregate to the exterior surface; and after affixing the aggregate, applying an additional coating layer.
PREFORM COATING DEVICE AND PREFORM COATING METHOD
The present invention provides a preform coating device (5) provided with: a rotating and holding part (9) that holds a preform (1) in a horizontal direction, and rotates the preform (1) about an axis (A) of the preform (1); and a dispenser (6) that has a slot (62) and discharges a coating liquid in a plane form from the slot (62) to the preform (1), wherein the discharge direction of the coating liquid is the direction of the normal to an outer peripheral surface of the preform (1).
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR COATING PIPELINES
An apparatus configured to coat pipelines, in particular a cutback along a pipeline, having: a frame, which extends along a designated axis and is fixable with respect to the pipeline so as to arrange the designated axis parallel to the longitudinal axis of the pipeline; a carriage, which is supported by the frame, is movable along the designated axis with respect to the frame, and is configured to designated a heater and an applicator; an actuator configured to advance the carriage along the designated axis; and a control unit configured to select a travel distance for the carriage from a plurality of travel distances.
HEAT TRANSFER TUBE HAVING SUPERHYDROPHOBIC SURFACE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
The present disclosure relates to a heat transfer tube comprising nanostructures formed on the surface, and a method for manufacturing the same, and by forming nanostructures on a heat transfer tube surface, a superhydrophobic surface may be obtained under a high temperature environment as well. In addition, superhydrophobicity may be enhanced by further forming a hydrophobic coating layer on the nanostructure-formed heat transfer tube surface. By using a method of forming nanostructures by dipping the heat transfer tube surface, complex shapes may be coated, and therefore, a plurality of assembled heat transfer tubes may be coated, and damages occurring during a process of assembling the heat transfer tube after coating may be prevented.
REINFORCED CORELESS TUBE EXTRUSION SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Methods of coating a base tube are disclosed. Various methods include passing a hollow base tube into a coating die while maintaining a chamber pressure outside the hollow base tube that is lower than a pressure within an inner lumen of the hollow base tube. Such methods can include extruding coating material onto the hollow base tube to form a coated hollow tube by delivering coating material into the coating die. Vacuum may be formed within the coating die proximate a point of impingement where the coating material is applied to the hollow base tube.
POWERED LIQUID SPRAY APPARATUS TO COAT PIPE JOINTS
A powered liquid spray apparatus mounts an air gun to a power-driven circumferential ring arranged for rotation about a pipe, with the air gun's nozzle oriented perpendicular to the pipe. The flow of coating through the nozzle is controlled as the power-driven ring rotates about the pipe. If the air gun is mounted parallel to the pipe, the pipe or pipe joint may be coated when skid mounted.
Adjustable Cantilevered Paint Actuation System
A surface treatment assembly for treating a contoured surface includes a surface treatment array formed from a plurality of base structures, each base structure operably coupled to a first phalange structure and a first phalange structure first end. A second phalange structure operatively coupled to each first phalange structure and a phalange joint disposed between each first phalange structure and each second phalange, thereby forming a finger structure. Moreover, at least one applicator head is coupled to a second phalange structure second end of each finger structure and configured to treat the contoured surface. A base structure actuator and a phalange joint actuator operatively coupled to and configured to manipulate the first phalange structure and the second phalange of each finger structure to adjust the surface treatment array relative to the contoured surface.
