DEVICE FOR SEPARATION AND REMOVAL IMPURITIES FROM GRANULAR MATERIAL
A device for separation and removal of light impurities from granular material has a cylindrical body, in the upper part of which is located a motor-driven fan that sucks air and an outlet channel for light impurities, below which there is axially mounted a feed channel connected to a container of granular material, and in the lower part of the body there is axially located a cylinder with an outer diameter smaller than the inner diameter (d) of the body, containing a centrifugal guide located under the outlet of the feed channel, whereas below the centrifugal guide, on the inner wall of the cylinder are fixed uniformly spaced directing plates at a certain distance from each other, their ends being pointed towards the axis of the device, and between the body and the cylinder there is a chute for purified material. There is a plurality of openwork hinders.
HORSE BEDDING RECYCLING SYSTEM
A device suitable for recycling horse bedding, the device including a shaker table with a receiving surface arranged to receive the bedding; a duct having an inlet and an outlet; a first airflow generator arranged to lift bedding elements from the horse bedding upwards towards the duct inlet; a second airflow generator arranged to transport the bedding elements within the duct, the duct being shaped to define an inlet transportation region in which the second airflow causes the bedding elements to be drawn from the duct inlet, along a portion of the duct; a suspension region in which the second airflow causes the bedding elements to be suspended within the suspension region of the duct; and an outlet transportation region in which, in the absence of the second airflow, the bedding elements fall due to gravity towards the duct outlet; and one or more UV light sources arranged within the duct to emit UV radiation into the suspension region.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SEPARATING LIGHTWEIGHT MATERIALS FROM FABRIC PIECES
The present invention discloses a method and corresponding apparatus for separating lightweight materials from fabric pieces. The method comprises the steps of (a) introducing fabric pieces into a tumbling means having perforations for lightweight materials in the fabric pieces to be removed therethrough and coupled to a first source of negative pressure; (b) tumbling the fabric pieces in the tumbling means and simultaneously applying negative pressure from the first source of negative pressure to the tumbling means for removing lightweight particles detached from the tumbling fabric pieces from the tumbling means; (c) transporting the fabric pieces from the tumbling means to a top of a vertical separation chamber; and (d) applying forced air to the fabric pieces as the fabric pieces drop from the top to bottom of the vertical separation chamber by gravity for separating the lightweight materials from the fabric pieces, and simultaneously applying negative pressure from a second source of negative pressure to the vertical separation chamber to remove the lightweight materials separated from the fabric pieces from the vertical separation chamber; repeating this step until the fabric pieces are substantially cleared of any lightweight materials. The apparatus comprises a tumbling means and a vertical separation chamber.
Hydraulic log yard waste separation system and method
A hydraulic separation system and method enables efficient recycling of log yard waste from an elevated frame. The system separates fine granules, small rocks, small bark, large bark, and large rocks with a variety of sequentially positioned, hydraulically powered separating components. The separation is mechanical and the size and weight of the individual material determines where in the system it is separated. Conveyors carry the log yard waste through the system. Shaking screens shake in a fast, up and down motion to flip and move the material through the system. Adjustable sloped plates work to accelerate and decelerate the material through the system. Dampening fingers control the disposition of elongated pieces of large bark and help to decelerate down the material. Blowers separate the bark from heavier rock and granular material. The elevated frame to enable cleaning and access to materials discharged beneath the elevated frame.

Process for separating synthetic turf product
A process for separating synthetic turf product comprising includes the consecutive steps of: (a) downsizing the synthetic turf product into a downsized turf material; (b) separating the downsized turf material by sieving into at least a first fraction substantially comprising a mixture of backing material and additional components and a second fraction substantially comprising grass fiber components; (c) separating the first fraction by specific gravity to provide a low density fraction and a high density fraction; (d) separating the second fraction by specific gravity and size by providing an airflow directed upwards in a separator configured to cause a swirling motion whereby a lighter fraction is entrained upwards in the air flow and a heavy fraction is allowed to fall downwards; and (e) collecting the low density fraction and the light fraction.
