Mail routing system utilizing printed indicia-containing mailing addresses
In some embodiments, the present invention provides an exemplary system that includes a mechanism configured to create by a digital mailing services provider, DMSP, a recipient-specific handling information indicia and provide said recipient-specific handling information indicia to a recipient; a mechanism configured to allow the recipient to provide said handling information indicia in delivery address C/O line, on a mail item, thereby indicating to said service provider their desired handling route for the mail item so that a paper mail recipient to receive improved transmission of correspondence from said service provider via both paper and electronic channels solely via including said handling information indicia contained in the delivery address C/O line of the recipient's delivery address on the mail item.
Multi-level distribution and tracking systems and methods
A distribution item includes a first item with a container having an outer surface defining an enclosed space. A computer-readable code is disposed on the outer surface. The computer-readable code is associated with a first level entity. The first item also includes destination information associated with a second level entity disposed on the outer surface. The distribution item also includes one or more second items removably positioned within the enclosed space of the first item. Each of the one or more second items includes the computer-readable code associated with the first level entity.

Multi-level distribution and tracking systems and methods
A multi-level distribution and tracking system is described. Processing equipment processes multi-level distribution items, the multi-level distribution items being associated with first, second, and third level entities. The multi-level distribution items include a computer readable code thereon. The processing equipment captures an image of the multi-level distribution item, reads a computer readable code associated with the first level entity, sender information for the second level entity, and destination address information for the third level entity. The processing equipment generates tracking information based on the processing of the multi-level distribution item, and can send the tracking information to the first level entity.

METHOD OF SORTING BAGGAGE AT AN AIRPORT
A method of sorting baggage at an airport, the method comprising: acquiring a digital image of an identification label for identifying a piece of baggage, the label including an identification code designed to correspond to a set of items of data from a first database compiled as the baggage is being checked in; the method further comprising the following steps: retrieving information that is printed on the label from the image; comparing the information with data that is recorded in a local second database at the airport before the label is printed, the second database being distinct from the first database, the data from the second database being representative of a list of flights to or from the airport; and, in response to a match being detected, transmitting data representative of a flight number corresponding to the piece of baggage to a conveyor system.
ARTICLE SUPPLY SYSTEM AND ARTICLE PROCESSING SYSTEM
An article supply system according to an embodiment includes an article supply apparatus and a first recognition apparatus. The article supply apparatus reads a first image from a first surface of an article conveyed by a first conveyance path, outputs the first image, and supplies the article to an article sorting apparatus. The first recognition apparatus recognizes sorting information based on the first image and outputs a first recognition result including the recognized sorting information. The article sorting apparatus causes a second conveyance path to convey the article supplied from the article supply apparatus, reads a second image from a second surface of the conveyed article, receives the first recognition result or a second recognition result including sorting information recognized from the second image, and controls sorting of the article based on the first recognition result or the second recognition result.
Household hazardous waste recovery
In certain embodiments, a system includes at least one optical sensor configured to capture one or more optical data associated with packaging of a waste product and a processor coupled to the at least one optical sensor. The processor may be configured to determine information about the waste product based on the optical data and send a signal corresponding to the information to one of a destination device and a controller based on the determined information.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR VISUAL IDENTIFICATION, AND SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CLASSIFYING AND SORTING
The present disclosure provides a visual identification system and a classifying and sorting system. The visual identification system includes: a material information identification device, configured to identify material information of an item in a circulation box; a server, configured to store a plurality of material templates for a plurality of items; receive the identified material information from the material information identification device via a network; retrieve a material template corresponding to the identified material information from the plurality of material templates; and send the retrieved material template to a photography device; and the photography device, configured to capture an image of the item conveyed into a photography area; receive the material template from the server via the network; and match the captured image with the received material template to determine position information of the item in the circulation box, the position information being used for sorting the item from the circulation box.
System for travel plan based shipments
A system described herein comprises a database of transporter profiles, a database of shipping package profiles, a control circuit, a geolocation device, and a physical kiosk. The transporter profiles comprise scheduled travel events associated therewith, and the transporter profiles being associated with transporters. The shipping packages comprises scheduled shipping events. The control circuit is operable to identify one or more suggested shipping packages for a transporter, based in part, on comparisons between the one or more scheduled travel events of a transporter profile associated with the transporter and the one or more scheduled shipping events of the shipping packages. The geolocation device is operable to calculate in real-time an absolute position of a transporter computing device associated with the transporter and estimate time of arrival of the transporter at a transport terminal. The physical kiosk delivers the suggested shipping packages prior to the transporter arriving at the transport terminal.
