SYSTEMS, DEVICES AND METHODS FOR SORTING ITEMS
Sorting systems and methods for large quantities of items in industrial processes are described. The systems, devices and methods are for receiving, sorting and removing items dynamically. A first group of items, such as letters or other mail pieces, are injected by a belt into a pocket to a form a first stack, and a divider is extended near the first stack. The divider allows for a second group of items to either be injected to form a second stack behind the divider, or to be diverted and injected into another pocket. The first stack can be removed while the second group is being injected.

A first group of items, such as letters or other mail pieces, are injected by a belt into a pocket to a form a first stack, and a progressive displacement divider with amplified output for a given input is extended near the first stack. The divider allows for a second group of items to either be injected to form a second stack behind the divider, or to be diverted and injected into another pocket. The first stack can be removed while the second group is being injected.
PARCEL AND ARTICLE SORTING SYSTEM AND METHOD WITH DESTINATION CONTAINER REMOVAL
System includes an article supply location that includes a plurality of articles to be sorted, first and second transport vehicles, each having a first position in which an article is stowed about the vehicle and a second position in which the article is deposited into a proximal container, and one or more removal devices that transport the container to a location of further processing. System further includes a control system configured to receive an order for a plurality of disparate articles, determine one destination container of a plurality of destination containers to direct the transport vehicle to deposit a selected article, direct the first transport vehicle to transport a selected article to the destination container, deposit the article in the destination container, and transport the destination container to a location for further processing by manipulation of the removal device.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR RETRIEVING CONTENT ASSOCIATED WITH DISTRIBUTION ITEMS
Systems, methods and apparatus are disclosed for providing content associated with an information item on a distribution item using a computing device. In one aspect a method includes identifying an image of an information item on a distribution item. The method further includes processing, in a processor the image, to generate a data item determined by the information item. The method further includes decoding the data item to determine a set of attributes of the distribution item. The method further includes retrieving content associated with the distribution item using at least one of the attributes in the set of attributes. The method further includes delivering content associated with the distribution item.

System and method for providing real-time tracking of items in a distribution network
Systems and methods of processing items. Items in a distribution network or process may be scanned at every handling point in the distribution network, and each scan is recorded in a central repository. The scan information can be used to generate real-time access to data, analytical tools, predictive tools, and tracking reports.
Multi-story robotic drive package sortation
Within a sortation center, robotic drives may coordinate to sort packages. In some instances, first robotic drives on a third floor may deposit packages into first chutes that transfer the packages to a second floor. Awaiting second robotic drives on the second floor may receive the packages and may deposit the packages into second chutes that transfer the packages to a first floor. At the first floor, the packages may arrive into a container associated with shipping the packages. Depositing the packages in the first chutes may align the packages with a respective container on the first floor in a first direction and depositing the packages in the second chutes may align the packages with their respective container on the second floor in a second direction.
