Weight material recovery and reuse method from drilling waste

A process for recovering weight material for reuse in drilling fluids from a previously unavailable source of feed stock. The process described herein includes a process of cleaning drilling waste through either low temperature thermal or solvent washing to remove hydrocarbon or water based drilling fluid contamination. The cleaned drilling waste, substantially free of liquids is sifted and the bulk fraction is further treated by employing conventional separation technology to recover a high gravity solids phase while discarding low gravity solids phase as tailings. Additionally, described is a process where the recovered high gravity solids phase can be reused as a high density weight material, or lower cost weight material, either of which is desirable to the drilling of modern oil and gas wells. The process of adding drilling fluid back into the recovered weight material to simplify the process of transporting the weight material into an active drilling fluid system is also described.

DEVICES AND METHODS FOR PASTEURIZING AND/OR STERILIZING PARTICULATE MATERIAL, AND CARTRIDGE

A devices (10) and method for pasteurizing and/or sterilizing particulate material. The device contain at least one electron source (20) for generating an electron beam and a treatment zone (19) in which the material is pasteurized and/or sterilized by the electron beam. The device (10) comprises a vibration surface (11) which vibrates to convey and individualize the material. The first vibration surface (11) has a plurality of grooves (12) into which the material is conveyed and individualized. The device (10) has a material channel (21) in which the material is pasteurized and/or sterilized by the electron beam in the region of the treatment zone (19). The device (10) has at least one auxiliary channel (22) through which a fluid flows, between the electron source (20) and the material channel (21), and is separated from the material channel (21). A cartridge (24) for pasteurizing and/or sterilizing particulate material is also disclosed.

Apparatus for transporting, inspecting, and processing pellet-shaped articles

A carrier link to convey at least one pellet-shaped article along a predetermined conveyer path in a direction of travel includes at least one pocket adapted to receive a pellet-shaped article and a lead-in surface provided to an upper exterior surface of the carrier link and extending into leading edges of the pocket. Each pocket includes a longitudinal axis that is transverse to a direction of travel of the carrier link. The lead-in surface provides a ramped or declined surface into the pocket to facilitate entry of the pellet-shaped article into the pocket. The lead-in surface is ramped or declined towards a side of the carrier link to facilitate rotating, guiding, and/or orienting of the pellet-shaped article into the pocket.

METAL SORTER

A material sorting system sorts materials utilizing a vision system that implements a machine learning system in order to identify or classify each of the materials, which are then sorted into separate groups based on such an identification or classification determining that the materials are composed of either wrought aluminum, extruded aluminum, or cast aluminum.
