Material Handling Apparatus with Item Scanning Station
A method and apparatus are provided for delivering items to a plurality of storage locations. The items are fed into the apparatus at an input station having a scanning station. The scanning station evaluates one or more characteristics of each item. The items are then loaded onto a delivery mechanism that delivers the items to storage locations. Once at the appropriate storage location, the delivery mechanism discharges the item to the storage location and returns to receive another item to be delivered.
Perception systems and methods for identifying and processing a variety of objects
A drop perception system is disclosed that includes an open housing structure having an internal volume, an open top and an open bottom, and a plurality of perception units positioned to capture perception data within the internal volume at a plurality of locations between the open top and the open bottom of the open housing.
MOBILE SORTER PLATFORMS AND METHOD FOR SORTING ARTICLES
A platform assembly for use with sorting articles includes a first panel including a plurality of markers thereon, the markers forming a track on the first panel for transit thereabout by a plurality of vehicles. Each marker includes one or more magnetic characteristics for determining an orientation of the marker. A container is positioned about at least one of the plurality of markers. The platform assembly defines a first orientation in which the platform assembly is in a retracted position and a second orientation in which the platform assembly is in an extended position with a horizontal disposition. During operation, the vehicle is directed by a control system to deposit an article carried thereon into a container associated with a marker based on the location and the orientation of the marker.
CONVEYING SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF ASSOCIATING DATA WITH AN ITEM TRANSPORTED BY A CONVEYING SYSTEM
Systems and methods of associating data to an item being transported by a conveying system are disclosed. The item and data associated with the item are received at a first zone of the conveying system. The data is stored in a first computer-readable storage medium associated with the first zone. The item is transported to a second zone of the conveying system, and the data stored in the first computer-readable storage medium is transferred to a second computer-readable storage medium associated with the second zone.
CONVEYOR BELT ASSEMBLY FOR IDENTIFYING AN ASSET SORT LOCATION AND METHODS OF UTILIZING THE SAME
Provided are systems and methods for associating an asset with a sort location, the system comprising a conveyor belt assembly and a user device configured to be worn by a user. The conveyor belt assembly comprises: an acquisition device and a plurality of stripes defining a non-repeating pattern, the plurality of stripes comprising a plurality of unique sets of stripes. The acquisition device is configured to capture image data comprising asset identifier data and conveyor mechanism data, the conveyor mechanism data including one of the plurality of unique sets of stripes. The user device is configured to capture conveyor mechanism data including one of the plurality of unique sets of stripes; remotely receive asset identifier data associated with the user device captured conveyor mechanism data; and generate and display to the user, relative to the asset, at least one visual indicator of one or more sort instructions for the asset.
STEREOSCOPIC SORTING CONTROL METHOD, STEREOSCOPIC SORTING ROBOT, AND RELATED DEVICE
A stereoscopic sorting control method, a stereoscopic sorting robot, and a related device. The stereoscopic sorting control method comprises: stereoscopic sorting robots having a binding relationship with identity information of target sorting shelves, wherein the binding relationship is associated with a target order; under a sorting task of the target order, the stereoscopic sorting robots sorting, according to the identity information of the sorting shelves, goods to be sorted; when a first stereoscopic sorting robot has a fault, unbinding the first stereoscopic sorting robot and the target sorting shelves; acquiring state information of other stereoscopic sorting robots, wherein the state information indicates that a second stereoscopic sorting robot is in an available and idle state; and rebinding the second stereoscopic sorting robot with the target sorting shelves.
THREE-DIMENSIONAL SORTING METHOD AND THREE-DIMENSIONAL SORTING ROBOT AND SYSTEM
A three-dimensional sorting method, and a three-dimensional sorting robot and system are provided. The method includes: an obtaining step: obtaining identity information of a target sorting storage rack, wherein the identity information may comprise structural data of the sorting storage rack and/or position information of a basket unit of the storage rack; a binding step: binding the identity information of the target sorting storage rack to information of a three-dimensional sorting robot, and the binding relationship being associated with a target order by means of a server; and a sorting step: under a sorting task of the target order, sorting, according to the identity information of the storage rack, goods to be sorted.
SORTING MACHINE WITH DYNAMIC LANE ROUTING
A sorter including a conveying system to transport items to be sorted. A plurality of lanes are configured to accept the items from the conveying system. A scanner reads information about the items to be sorted. The information including a destination for the item. A controller is in communication with the scanner to receive the destination for the items being sorted and is adapted to open and close selected ones of the plurality of lanes to receive items.
