Shaft seal
A shaft seal for an exhaust fan. The seal limits leakage from within an exhaust fan housing around an exhaust fan drive shaft that extends between a rotational power source exterior to the exhaust fan housing and a position within the exhaust fan housing. The seal comprises a plenum generally positioned about the exhaust fan drive shaft at the point where the shaft extends into the fan housing; an auxiliary blower comprising a housing, an internal blade driven by an auxiliary blower drive shaft, and an auxiliary blower drive to rotate the drive shaft where the auxiliary blower drive is operatively associated with the rotational power source such that operation of the rotational power sources causes a rotation of the exhaust fan drive shaft and the auxiliary blower drive shaft; and a duct fluidly connecting the auxiliary blower housing to the plenum.
Device for the generative production of a three-dimensional object
An apparatus for the generative production of a three-dimensional object by successive, selective layer-by-layer solidification of construction material layers of a solidifiable construction material by means of at least one energy beam, comprising at least one device for generating at least one energy beam for selective layer-by-layer solidification of individual construction material layers of a solidifiable construction material, wherein the device is configured to generate an energy beam directed directly onto a construction plane, and an exhaust device which is configured to exhaust non-solidified construction material detached from the construction plane during processing and/or process gases arising during processing, wherein the exhaust device comprises at least one exhaust element through which a suction flow may or does flow, wherein at least one passage opening is formed in the at least one exhaust element for passage of an energy beam generated by the device and directed directly onto the construction plane.
Silica dust controls for hydraulic fracturing operations
A system for controlling dust during hydraulic fracturing operations includes a manifold having a plurality of ports for capturing dust when negative air pressure is applied to the manifold. A support frame positions the manifold above a piece of hydraulic fracturing equipment receiving sand from a sand source.
Exhaust gas discharge device for fire engine in fire station
The present invention provides an exhaust gas discharge device for a fire engine in a fire station, the device comprising: a base frame inserted into a guide groove formed on the floor of the garage of the fire station; a lifting frame connected to the upper part of the base frame to slide in a vertical direction; a suction hood having a suction hole on one side while having a container shape including a space unit inside thereof; a discharge pipe unit for guiding the exhaust gas of the fire engine in the garage to be discharged to the outside of the garage; a discharge fan for generating a suction force for the exhaust gas to be discharged to the outside of the garage through the discharge pipe unit; a lifting means for generating a driving force to slide the lifting frame in the vertical direction; a rotation connection member for enabling the suction hole of the suction hood to face an exhaust port of the fire engine while the suction hood rotates around the hinge when the lifting frame ascends by the lifting means; a stopper for stopping a wheel of the fire engine when the fire engine stops while the exhaust port of the fire engine is adjacent to the front side of the upper part of the suction hood; a stop sensor for detecting whether the stopper of the fire engine is stopped; a vehicle sensor detecting whether the fire engine enters the direction of the stopper unit; and a control unit for controlling the operation of the lifting means and the discharge fan in accordance with a signal of the vehicle sensor and the stop sensor or controlling the operation of the lifting means and the discharge fan by a user regardless of the signal of the stop sensor and the vehicle sensor.
MODULAR VENTILATED WORKSTATION TABLE
A robust cleaning and ventilation system for a workstation such as an office workspace, employing table geometry to create high efficiency air exchange while providing a conditioned make-up air return that completes the full ventilation process. The workstation includes a modular implementation such that the necessary equipment is not a single custom bespoke installation and can be used universally.
Extractor with end-mounted positive pressure system
An extractor system includes a negative pressure gas stream source, a negative pressure conduit, a housing, a positive pressure gas stream source, a positive pressure gas stream manifold, and an operator interface. The negative pressure conduit conveys the negative pressure gas stream from a work area. A first end of the negative pressure conduit is coupled to the negative pressure gas stream source, such that the negative pressure gas stream flows from the work area through a second end of the negative pressure conduit and toward the first end of the negative pressure conduit. The housing is disposed about the negative pressure conduit, near the second end of the negative pressure conduit comprising. The positive pressure gas stream source is coupled to the housing. The positive pressure gas stream manifold is located downstream of the positive pressure gas stream source. The positive pressure gas stream is directed through the positive pressure gas stream manifold. The operator interface allows a user to control the positive pressure gas stream through the positive pressure gas stream manifold.
Lockable friction joint for adjustment of relative pivotal positioning of pipe sections
A lockable friction joint includes a first joint member with a first arm member and a second joint member with a second arm member, the first and second joint members each having an inner friction surface and pivotal connecting projections. A friction adjustment device includes an adjustment element on an outer surface of the second joint member, and a fixating element on an outer surface of the first joint member. A plurality of friction discs are adjacent each other and between the inner friction surfaces of the first and second joint members, whereby friction between the friction discs is adjusted by the adjustment element. Each friction disc has at least one friction surface acting on an adjacent friction surface of another element of the friction joint and each friction disc is pivotally coupled to at least one other element of the friction joint.
MRI MAGNET ROOM CLEANING SYSTEM
A cleaner system for an MRI magnet room. The system includes a base vacuum and/or steam unit configured to supply vacuum and/or steam, the unit disposed outside the MRI magnet room. A hand-held or portable dispensing unit is substantially free of magnetic material so that it is safe to use inside the magnet room. A tubing system for conveying vacuum and/or steam from the base unit to the handheld unit, the tubing system including a magnet room portion configured for disposition inside the magnet room and free of magnetic material. A communication link is configured to communicate control signals generated by user manipulation of a control panel to the base unit.
