A tracked, self-propelled machine for laying a film and depositing ballast on it to cover a landfill or other ground area. The machine (20) has a ballast box (28) with a reciprocating slat floor (38) and an end gate (34) for holding the ballast (50). A ballast distribution module (58) at the back of the ballast box has a pair of conveyors (68, 70) separated by a gap (72). A roll of film (96) is held by a film roll support mechanism (94) at the back of the machine for unwinding onto the ground surface as the machine moves forward. Ballast is moved to the back of the box by the reciprocating slat floor and is released from an opening (52) under the end gate onto the conveyors and into the gap for deposition onto the laid film.
Erosion control substrate and methods of use
A substrate and a slurry for erosion control and/or hydroseeding are disclosed. The substrate includes mulch and a cover composition including bentonite clay and cellulosic water dispersible polymer or starch. Other desired optional ingredients may also be included. Methods of controlling or reducing erosion control are also disclosed.

The real-time water-level monitoring system for a dumping site of an open-pit coal mine comprises a first measuring well (2) and a second measuring well (3), where the first measuring well (2) is arranged vertically in the center of the stacking site (1), and the second measuring well (3) includes a vertical section (301), a horizontal section (302), and a free section (303) connected in sequence; and a first water-impermeable layer (4), a second water-impermeable layer (5), and a third water-impermeable layer (6) are provided internally in the stacking site (1).
Municipal solid waste landfill barrier system capable of prolonging breakthrough time of leachate and manufacturing method thereof
The invention relates to a MSW (municipal solid waste) landfill barrier system capable of prolonging breakthrough time of leachate and a manufacturing method thereof. The system comprises a leachate collection and removal layer, a first HDPE (high-density polyethylene) geomembrane infiltration proof layer (2), a clay liner (5) and a groundwater collection and removal layer (6) which are sequentially stacked from top to bottom. The clay liner (5) is composed of a lower clay liner (51), a middle clay liner (52) and an upper clay liner (53) which are sequentially arranged, wherein the middle clay liner (52) is filled with a medium-fine sand layer (7) laid with sands of particle sizes ranging from 0.1 mm to 0.5 mm and of water content 3%, wherein the saturated hydraulic conductivity of the medium-fine sand layer (7) varies from 110.sup.5 to 110.sup.3. A method of manufacturing the MSW landfill barrier system capable of prolonging breakthrough time of leachate is also provided.
LANDFILLING METHOD FOR REFURBISHING LANDSCAPES
The present invention is directed to the use of a composite comprising a layer (L1) selected from the group of polyurethane layers, polyisocyanurat layers and polyurea layers as a landfill liner as well as a process for preparing a composite landfill liner comprising a layer (L1) selected from the group of polyurethane layers, polyisocyanurat layers and polyurea layers, the process comprising the step of applying a reaction mixture which is suitable to form a product selected from the group of polyurethane, polyisocyanurat and polyurea products onto a surface. Furthermore, the present invention is directed to a composite comprising a layer (L1) selected from the group of polyurethane layers, polyisocyanurat layers and polyurea layers, a primer layer on one surface of layer (L1), and a protective layer (L2) selected from the group of mortar layers or elastomer layers on the surface of the primer layer. In particular, the present invention is directed to the use of a composite comprising a polyurethane foam layer (L1) as a landfill liner, wherein the layer (L1) comprises a spray product as well as a preparing a composite landfill liner comprising a polyurethane foam layer (L1), the process comprising the step of applying a reaction mixture which is suitable to form a polyurethane foam onto a surface. Finally, the present invention is directed to a composite comprising a polyurethane foam layer (L1), a primer layer on one surface of layer (L1), and a protective layer (L2) selected from the group of mortar layers or elastomer layers on the surface of the primer layer.

A method for lining an existing waste disposal site having a waste level includes, for example: installing perimeter barrier walls about the site and interior barrier walls within the perimeter barrier walls to define cells; transferring waste, such as for example ash, from one of the cells to one or more other cells to form an empty cell with a layer of contaminated material at the bottom of the empty cell; removing the layer of contaminated material from the empty cell to form a clean cell with a noncontaminated bottom layer; installing a barrier liner layer in the clean cell to form a lined cell; and transferring waste from other cells into the lined cell.

Provided is a dynamic two-way guide and drainage control method for leachate and landfill gas. The dynamic two-way guide and drainage control method is used in a waste landfill. By implementing the present invention, the water-guiding permeability inside the waste body is improved, and the problems that the water level of the leachate is raised, the landfill gas is escaped, the collection efficiency is extremely low and the like during a waste landfilling process at present are solved.

In a method for treating waste, in particular domestic waste, comprising the providing of a closed building for receiving the waste, the roof of the building being designed as a semi-permeable membrane, the filling of the building with the waste, the waste being piled into a mound, the performing of a biological drying of the waste with the supply of air, the air exhaust taking place through the semi-permeable membrane, and the discharging of the dried waste from the building, the filling of the building and the performing of the biological drying, and optionally discharging, of the waste are carried out with an unchanged arrangement of the roof, and the filling of the building is carried out by dropping the waste from a continuous conveying device.
