Method for manufacturing recycled pulp fibers
The present invention provides a method which, in the process of manufacturing recycled pulp fibers from a mixture of pulp fibers and a high water-absorption polymer, enables efficient manufacturing of the recycled pulp fibers while properly removing the high water-absorption polymer from the pulp fibers. This method comprises: a supply step (S19-2a) for supplying an aqueous solution containing a mixture (98) to a driving fluid supply port (DI) of an ejector (107) and simultaneously supplying, to a suction fluid supply port (AI) of the ejector, a gaseous substance (Z2) which is capable of degrading a high water-absorption polymer so as to make the degraded polymer dissolvable; and a treatment step (S19-2b) for discharging, from a mixed fluid discharge port (CO) of the ejector that is connected to a lower part of a treatment tank (105), a mixed liquid, which is formed when the aqueous solution and the gaseous substance are mixed within the ejector, into a treatment liquid (P2) within the treatment tank, so as to lessen the high water-absorption polymer in the mixture.
Method for manufacturing recycled pulp from used sanitary products
A recycled pulp that is reusable sanitary products is efficiently manufactured by recovering pulp fiber from used sanitary products containing the pulp fiber and a polymer absorbent. The method of the present invention comprises: a step applying a mechanical force to the used sanitary products in an aqueous solution containing a polyvalent metal ion or an acidic aqueous solution with a pH of 2.5 or lower and thus degrading the used sanitary products into the pulp fiber and other materials; a step separating the pulp fiber from the mixture of the pulp fiber and other materials that has been formed in the degradation step; and a step treating the pulp fiber thus separated with an ozone-containing aqueous solution with a pH of 2.5 or lower.
Systems, apparatuses, and methods for rendering drugs unusable, irretrievable, and suitable for non-regulated waste disposal
Apparatuses and systems are provided which include one or more receptacles for receiving drugs and further include one or more stored supplies of one or more absorbent materials comprising crosslinkers, wherein the apparatus and systems are adapted to release the absorbent materials comprising crosslinkers into the one or more receptacles. A method is provided which includes depositing a drug into a predetermined amount of fluid and adding to the drug containing fluid a absorbent material comprising crosslinkers which is capable of encapsulating the drug containing fluid and possibly killing infectious materials within the fluid and/or denaturing the drug within the fluid.
Autoclave with autonomous internal sterilising chambers for sterilising sanitary waste and medical instruments
The present invention relates to a pressurised-vapour autoclave characterised in that, in addition to sterilising instruments in a main chamber, it allows a second or third hermetic, exchangeable sterilising chamber to be housed inside the autoclave and connected, by means of a quick connection, to the main sterilising chamber, thus allowing access to the internal components of the autoclave such as compressors, water heaters, solenoid valves, etc., in order to sterilise sanitary waste without contaminating the main chamber with steam or ozone gas, thereby producing two or three completely autonomous and separate chambers. The present invention also relates to a method for operating the autoclave, wherein the autoclave reports the number of kilos treated by means of weight sensors on the feet of same, as well as all the internal parameters thereof by means of a GPRS-SIM circuit board.
Bodily fluid cleanup system
A bodily fluid cleanup system is configured to be assembled, employed and subsequently disposed of to safely remove biohazardous material from an area. The system includes a disposable receptacle and a plurality of disposable modular components for assembling a plurality of disposable modular implements, all of which may be enclosed within a single package. The modular implements may include, but are not limited to, a wiper blade, a broom, a dustpan and/or a mop. The receptacle transitions between an open position and a closed position and in an embodiment includes a base, an integral cover, a molded bottom edge insert and a molded mounting member which all form an enclosure that functions to house various materials and the implements in a pre-usage configuration and to retain biohazardous material during a cleanup process.
USED PAPER DIAPER PROCESSING METHOD AND APPARATUS
In a processing tank where a processing liquid is stored up to a first water level, first stirring processing that removes water from a used paper diaper is performed to remove the water from the used paper diaper. Then, the processing liquid is stored up to a second water level higher than the first water level, and second stirring processing that separates excrement contained in the used paper diaper from the used paper diaper is performed to separate the excrement from the used paper diaper. After that, dehydration processing is performed.
Controlled medication denaturing composition and method
In one aspect, a composition for decomposing pharmaceutically active agents comprises an oxidizer comprising a permanganate, and an isocyanurate; and an immobilizer. In another aspect, a composition comprises up to 50 wt. % of an oxidizer comprising potassium permanganate and sodium dichloroisocyanurate dehydrate, wherein the wt. % is based on a total weight of the composition.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CANNABIS WASTE DISPOSAL
Systems and methods for rendering cannabis-related waste materials are provided. The method may include inserting a plurality of cannabis-related waste materials into, for example, a mobile rendering vehicle. The method may further include physically altering the cannabis-related waste materials such that the cannabis-related waste materials are unrecognizable and unusable. The insertion of the cannabis-related waste materials into the mobile rendering vehicle may be recorded and/or the physical alteration (e.g., pulverization) of the cannabis-related waste materials may be recorded via one or more cameras disposed on the mobile rendering vehicle to verify proper insertion and/or alteration of the cannabis-related waste materials.
USED PAPER DIAPER PROCESSING METHOD AND APPARATUS
A processing liquid is generated by mixing a chemical and water in a processing liquid generation region disposed below an inner tank. By further supplying water to raise a water level, the processing liquid is supplied from below the inner tank. This prevents a used paper diaper from coming into contact with water containing no chemical.
Method and apparatus for separating plastic and cellulose from post-consumer absorbent sanitary products
A method is disclosed for separating plastic and cellulose from post-consumer absorbent sanitary products. The method includes sterilizing successive batches of post-consumer absorbent sanitary products in at least one rotary autoclave. The method further includes shredding the sterilized absorbent sanitary products and obtaining sterilized and shredded material containing plastic and cellulose. The method further includes drying the sterilized and shredded material containing plastic and cellulose, and separating cellulose from plastic from said sterilized, shredded and dried material in at least one centrifugal separator.
