HIGH CAPACITY, SILENT, SPACE SAVING DEHYDRATOR
A food dehydration device which can dry comestibles as well as other items utilizing electric and/or solar power. Drying trays may be disposed vertically or horizontally. Units may be stacked vertically to expand capacity. For food storage, drying trays may fit into standard zip plastic bags, without need of unloading. Drying trays may be sized similar to standard dinner plates to fit more easily into dishwashers, over countertop cabinets. Variable venting resists rain and other liquids from the drying cavity. A hand-operated pusher device may be used to impale foods onto posts to load the drying trays. Trays may include orthogonal posts to impale and/or open-air suspend on the tips of posts, articles being dried, such as fruit rollup trays, yogurt cups, herbs, seeds, or nuts. Embodiments may be stored on their side to reduce storage shelf height requirements suitably including nonstick coating.
METHODS FOR RECYCLING AND UPCYCLING CONSUMER ELECTRONICS WITH PLASTICS AND INTEGRATED BATTERIES
A system for initiating a recycling program of consumer electronic devices, wherein the system includes a collection device configured to collect a plurality of consumer electronic devices from users, a processing unit located within a permitted facility, communicatively connected to the collection device, wherein the processing unit is configured to disassemble each consumer electronic device of the plurality of consumer electronic devices into a plurality of base components through an electronic device disassembling process, wherein the plurality of base components includes a plurality of plastic components and at least a battery component, process the plurality of base components, wherein processing the plurality of base components includes disintegrating the plurality of plastic components into a plurality of granules and decomposing the at least one battery component into a plurality of electrochemical materials, and generate a recycled output using the processed plurality of base components.
Recycling of infusion capsules
A device for separating infusion capsules includes a base unit and a plunger, the base unit having a face with an aperture for receiving a body part of the capsule, wherein a portion of the face surrounding the aperture has a surface that undulates in a longitudinal direction relative to a central axis through the aperture; the plunger including a projection sized to fit within the aperture. A capsule can be placed, rim side down, on the base unit over the aperture, and the plunger used to urge the capsule down into the aperture. The result is that the capsule inverts, rupturing the foil layer and emptying the coffee or other infusion into the base unit below the aperture. The coffee (etc) and the capsule can then be removed for separate recycling. The undulating surface ensures that the rim section of the capsule is distorted during this process, which assists in separating any layers that have been provided for example by way of sealant.
Method for recycling residual paint colorant from empty paint colorant containers and products made therefrom
The invention is a method for rendering containers having hazardous residual paint colorant non-hazardous, by washing the hazardous residual paint colorant from the containers to a level where the containers are no longer considered to be hazardous waste, at which point the containers can be safely introduced into standard waste recycling streams. The method also proposes washing the hazardous paint colorant out of the containers and using the wash water containing the colorant to make paint, aggregate, and precast concrete structures.
Drum vent filter with pressure indicator/stop assembly
An apparatus and method for removal of contaminants from vented vapors having a pressure indicator/stop assembly.
LEAD-ACID BATTERY STORAGE CONTAINER
The disclosure provides a lead-acid battery storage container, mainly including an upper compartment body and a lower compartment body; the upper compartment body is provided with a pressure roller driven by a driving mechanism located at both sides of the upper compartment body; a slide rail is provided at one end of the upper compartment body, and an air duct is provided at the other end; a grab bucket is provided at the top of the upper compartment body, and a collecting tank is provided at both sides of the bottom thereof; and a water pool is located at the bottom of the lower compartment body. In the present disclosure, the driving mechanism is a translational trolley, and a bearing block engaged with an end of the pressure roller is provided at an upper side of the translational trolley.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR RECYCLING METALS FROM INDUSTRIAL WASTE
A system and method for recycling metals from industrial waste using an electrodepositing technique. The method includes the steps of collecting the industrial waste, transporting, processing and digesting the waste in a solvent or acidic solution and then electrodepositing out the desired metals. Other processing steps may be used to prepare the industrial waste for electrodeposition and the process may be repeated on the digest solution, to obtain multiple metals.
Apparatus and Method to Render Air Bag Inflators and Other Low Level Detonatable Devices Inert for Recycling
Detonable devices such as charged air bag inflators are fed to a shred tower at a controlled feed rate via a feed valve. Water spray and/or water baths in the shred tower prevent sparking and begin to solubilize chemicals while the inflators are fed to primary and optional secondary shredders respectively performing course and fine shreds. A sump receives the shredded material which continues solubilize and separate chemicals from metal. A conveyor lifts solids from the sump. Dewatered solids are fed to a receiving box for metal scrap recycling.
Methods and apparatus for reclaiming oil from vaporizer cartridges and filling vaporizer cartridges
Methods and apparatus for reclaiming oil from vaporizer cartridges and filling vaporizer cartridges are disclosed herein. An example apparatus includes a plate having a top side, a bottom side opposite the top side, and a plurality of openings extending through the plate between the top side and the bottom side. A portion of respective ones of the openings is sized to receive a vaporizer cartridge such that the vaporizer cartridge can be inserted in an upside-down orientation into the opening. The plate also has a shoulder formed in respective ones of the openings to be engaged by a top end of the vaporizer cartridge and to support the vaporizer cartridge.
