FRACTIONED SEPARATION OF VALUABLE SUBSTANCES FROM AQUEOUS MANY-COMPONENT MIXTURES
The invention relates to a method for the fractioned separation of valuable substances from aqueous many-component mixtures such as aqueous wastes, sludges and sewage sludge under supercritical conditions. The invention also comprises valuable substance fractions that are enriched after the method according to the invention, more particularly phosphorous-containing and phosphorous- and ammonium-containing compounds such as fertilisers and synthesis gas as an energy source and as a valuable substance for the chemicals industry. The invention comprises devices for carrying out the methods. With the method and devices according to the invention, valuable substances can be completely recovered from wastes, sludges and sewage sludge and given a new use. The methods and devices are particularly suitable for recovering phosphorous and ammonium in the form of plant-available fertiliser, for recovering metals and heavy metals, for producing synthesis gas and for obtaining hydrogen from synthesis gas, i.e. for mobility.
SILICA AGGREGATE, ADSORBENT, ADSORPTION COLUMN, CLEANING SYSTEM, METHOD FOR TREATING LIQUID, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SILICA AGGREGATE
A silica aggregate includes primary silica particles aggregated, the primary silica particles having an average particle size of 1 nm or more and less than 10 nm, the primary silica particles being crosslinked to each other by a bond containing a siloxane bond.
Plasma melting method for processing material to be processed, and plasma melting furnace used therefor
[Problem] The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a plasma melting method for performing, on a material to be processed such as incineration ash and general waste or industrial waste, a processing in which plasma is generated at a low voltage in the upper part of a furnace and the material to be processed is efficiently subjected to a melt-processing; and a plasma melting furnace used for the plasma melting method. [Solution] This invention is characterized in that: a coke layer is first laid on the furnace bottom of a plasma electric melting furnace in which a metal layer is placed on the furnace bottom and in which a plurality of electrodes can be moved vertically by an electrode raising/lowering device, and some of a material to be processed that is at least one among general waste, industrial waste, and incineration ash is charged onto the coke layer; the lower ends of the electrodes are positioned near the furnace bottom and the passage of current is commenced at a low voltage; the lower ends of the electrodes are raised while the passage of current is stable; the material to be processed is subjected to an additional charge; plasma is generated at the lower part of the electrodes at an operation voltage obtained by raising the voltage to a high voltage from the low voltage applied during the stable passage of current; and the material to be processed is subjected to a melt-processing.
DNA COMPLEX, ADSORBENT, ADSORPTION COLUMN, PURIFICATION SYSTEM, LIQUID TREATMENT METHOD, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING DNA COMPLEX
A DNA complex includes a carrier and DNA immobilized on the carrier. 80% or more by mass of the DNA is single-stranded DNA, the DNA has an average molecular weight of 500,000 or less, and the DNA content is more than 15% by mass and 50% or less by mass of the DNA complex. The carrier contains an inorganic material. The DNA complex has an average particle size of 10 m or more.
METHOD FOR PREPARING IRON ALLOY AND CEMENT MATERIAL
A method for preparing iron alloy and a cement material, in the field of solid waste recycling, provides an efficient, synergistic effect between main components of carbon, calcium and heavy metal in municipal solid waste incineration (MSWI) fly ash and main components of iron, aluminum and silicon in red mud, so that the iron alloy and cement material can be readily obtained. By using waste to treat waste and using the complementarity of the components of two waste streams, carbon in the MSWI fly ash may provide a reductant to accelerate an iron mineral in the red mud to reduce into metal iron. With the formation of the metal iron, a siderophile heavy metal element in the MSWI fly ash is also accelerated to enter an iron phase. Meanwhile, the cement material is formed by Al.sub.2O.sub.3 and SiO.sub.2 in the red mud and CaO in the MSWI fly ash.
Portable system and method for processing waste to be placed in landfill
A portable system and method for processing waste to be solidified and placed in an active cell of a landfill. A portable pugmill is moveable adjacent an active cell of a landfill; and portable devices, which may be mounted on sleds or trailers, may be used for feeding the pugmill with waste to be solidified into a landfill-ready state. The waste may be fed to the pugmill without the need for long-term waste storage devices, and avoiding substantial delays between discharge of the waste from trucks to the pugmill-feeding steps.
