Food Waste Recycling
Disclosed herein is a process for producing an animal feed having a defined nutritional profile from food waste. The process comprises accumulating successive batches of a plurality of food wastes that have been macerated and dehydrated, every batch of each of the plurality of food wastes having been sourced from the same one of a plurality of categorized producers of food waste and maintained separately at all times from others of the plurality of food wastes; independently mixing each of the accumulated batches of the macerated and dehydrated food wastes to produce a plurality of homogenized ingredients for an animal feed; analysing each of the homogenized ingredients to determine one or more nutritional parameters of the ingredient; and blending two or more of the homogenized ingredients to produce the animal feed having a defined nutritional profile.
DEODORIZING FILTER FOR EXTERNAL ATTACHMENT OF FOOD WASTE DISPOSER TO PREVENT CONDENSATION
The present disclosure relates to a deodorizing filter for external attachment of a food waste disposer, including a housing, a storage tank, and a fan motor, wherein the deodorizing filter includes a filter front part including a front body, an air intake part, and an exhaust part, a filter rear part including a rear body, a divider rib part dividing the internal space between the front body and the rear body into an upper storage space and a lower exhaust space, and activated carbon stored in the upper storage space. Accordingly, by applying expanded polypropylene to the filter rear part exposed to the outside, and having the divider rib part to provide the lower exhaust space in order to facilitate air circulation of the fan motor, it is 10 possible to prevent condensation from occurring even in temperature changes between a food waste disposer and the outside.
FOOD WASTE PROCESSING DEVICE AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
A food waste disposal device includes: a treatment chamber including an inlet, a drain part connected to a sink drainpipe, and a byproduct outlet through which byproducts are discharged; a pulverizing transfer part rotatably disposed within the treatment chamber, and configured to grind and transfer an object introduced through the inlet; a storage part configured to store the byproducts discharged through the byproduct outlet; a drain valve configured to adjust an opening degree of the drain part; and a controller configured to control operations of the pulverizing transfer part and the drain valve to perform: in a first mode, an operation of opening the drain valve and rotating the pulverizing transfer part in a first direction to grind and transfer the object introduced through the inlet; and in a second mode, an internal cleaning operation of operating the pulverizing transfer part.
Method and system for pyrolysis
The invention provides a system for pyrolysis, comprising: (i) a gas producer comprising a gasification zone and a producer gas outlet, wherein the gas producer is configured to: oxidise at least one carbon-containing feed in the presence of an oxidising gas in the gasification zone to form a producer gas; and discharge the producer gas from the gasification zone via the producer gas outlet, wherein a residual oxygen content of the producer gas is substantially depleted or maintained below a maximum predetermined amount by controlling a ratio of oxygen fed to the gasification zone to the carbon-containing feed, (ii) a pyrolyzer comprising a pyrolysis zone and one or more pyrolyzer gas outlets, wherein the pyrolyzer is configured to: feed the producer gas discharged from the gasification zone to the pyrolysis zone; pyrolyze a pyrolyzable organic feed in the pyrolysis zone in the presence of the producer gas to produce a carbonaceous pyrolysis product and a gas mixture comprising combustible components comprising pyrolysis gas; and discharge the gas mixture from the pyrolysis zone via the one or more pyrolyzer gas outlets, and (iii) a first combustor comprising a combustion zone, wherein the first combustor is configured to: receive the gas mixture discharged from the pyrolysis zone in the combustion zone; feed an oxygen-containing gas to the combustion zone; and combust at least a portion of the combustible components present in the gas mixture in the combustion zone to produce a combustion product gas.
