The systems and methods can include a recycle loop so that a portion of the pyrolysis effluent can be combined with solid plastic feedstock. The input flow to the pyrolysis reactor can correspond to a slurry of plastic particles in recycled effluent or a solution of plastic in recycled effluent.

The present invention relates to a method for degradation of a plastic-containing waste further comprising cellulosic, plant and/or animal waste, the method comprising mixing the plastic-containing waste with a composition comprising bacteria in the presence of air wherein the plastic containing waste is filled to a predetermined level in a digesting apparatus comprising of an elongated tank having one or more rotating mixing shafts provided with radially extending agitating blades fixed to the shafts, wherein the plastic containing waste has a surface-to-volume ratio of at least 1.1 when the digesting apparatus is filled to the predetermined level, whereby the surface area is the surface area in m.sup.2 of the filled plastic containing waste to air interface, and the volume is the volume of the plastic containing waste in m.sup.3.

GEOGRID PREPARED BY RECYCLING MEDICAL WASTE AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR, AND USE IN FOUNDATION REINFORCEMENT

A geogrid prepared by recycling medical waste and a preparation method therefor, and use in foundation reinforcement. The method includes: recycling medical waste for treatment and processing the medical waste into a crushed material; adding modified filler and processing aids, and selecting high-strength fiber bundles for compounding and melting with the crushed material and pressing and stretching to prepare a geogrid. The medical waste is any combination of one or more used medical plastic products and medical plastic products that expire and are not used. The high-strength fiber bundles are more than one bundle of fiber materials commonly used for manufacturing geogrids on the market. The modified filler is a stabilizer for improving the stability of component materials to heat and light. The processing aids are enhancers for improving the performance of the component materials.

Conversion of waste plastics to petrochemicals

Process and systems for converting waste plastics include feeding a waste plastic to a melt tank, and in the melt tank, heating the waste plastic to form a molten plastic. The molten plastic is withdrawn from the melt tank and fed to a pyrolysis reactor. In the pyrolysis reactor, the molten plastic is heated to a pyrolysis temperature, producing a pyrolysis oil product and a liquid pitch product. The pyrolysis oil is then separated into a pyrolysis gas fraction, a light pyrolysis oil fraction, a medium pyrolysis oil fraction, and a heavy pyrolysis oil fraction.

In another embodiment, the paper fragments and plastic fragments of the first blend, not the second blend, are coated with an adhesive.
