Method and apparatus for treatment of contaminated soil with dioxine, agricultural pesticides, oil, organic chemicals and volatile heavy metals
The present invention relates to a method for treating contaminated soil. A method for treating contaminated soil according to the present invention comprises: a flushing step of inserting a spraying rod including a nozzle into soil to spray a flushing liquid or an oxidizing liquid thereto; a first collection step of collecting floating material from the soil after the flushing step; a first phase separation step of separating the floating material collected in the first collection step into a liquid phase material and a solid phase material; a heating step of inserting a heating member into the solid fraction separated in the phase separation step to heat the solid fraction; a second collection step of collecting steam generated by the heating step; and a pyrolysis step of separating a gas phase material from the floating material from the floating material separated in the second collection step and performing heat treatment.

WASHING TREATMENT SYSTEM AND WASHING TREATMENT METHOD FOR CONTAMINATED SOIL
What is provided is a washing treatment system (1) for contaminated soil, including: a classifier (10) that is configured to obtain a sand fraction (S4) having a particle size within a predetermined range and a fine-grained fraction (S3) having a particle size smaller than the predetermined range, from contaminated soil (S0) containing one or more contaminants selected from dioxins and agricultural chemicals; a detaching/washing unit (20) that is configured to detach a contaminant particle containing the contaminant from a surface of the sand fraction (S4); a removal unit (30) that is configured to generate air bubbles in a presence of water containing a flotation chemical, allows the detached contaminant-bearing particles to attach to the air bubbles to form froth (F1), and removes the froth (F1) to obtain a first slurry (S6) containing primary purified soil; and an up-flow washing unit (40) that is provided downstream of the removal unit (30), and is configured to supply the first slurry (S6) into up-flow water (W2) to purify the primary purified soil.
A METHOD FOR TREATING PFAS CONTAINING MEDIUM
A method for treating water contaminated with hydrophobic and lipophilic molecules, comprising forming an emulsion of the contaminated water with an oil; and separating from the emulsion an oil part charged with a captured amount of the hydrophobic and lipophilic molecules and a treated water part, the treated water having an amount the in hydrophobic and lipophilic molecules reduced by the captured amount of hydrophobic and lipophilic molecules than an initial amount of the hydrophobic and lipophilic molecules in the contaminated water.
Method, system and product of ultrasonic cleaning of drill cuttings
A method, system and cleaning solutions for the ultrasonic cleaning of drill cuttings and the resulting cleaned drill solids is described. The drill cuttings are characterized by their liquid/solid composition, texture of solids and size of particulates. A cleaning solution formula having surfactant(s) and viscosity agent(s) is selected based on the characterization of drill cuttings. Drill cuttings are contacted with the selected cleaning solution and subjected to ultrasonic vibrations simultaneously for a period of treatment and vibration time. Contaminants from drill cuttings are removed to beneficial use standards and the resulting cleaned drill solids may be reused at the well site. The cleaning may occur at a well site in conjunction with drilling activity and the cleaning solution may be changed to adapt to changes in the drill mud and/or cuttings characteristics.
ZERO-VALENT METAL SUSPENSION IN NON-AQUEOUS PHASE FOR WATER REMEDIATION
The present subject matter illustrates a zero-valent metal suspension in non-aqueous phase. The suspension comprises 41 wt. % of a plurality of zero-valent iron particles; 0.1 wt % of a surfactant; 36 wt. % of an oil; and 23 wt. % of a thickening agent.
METHOD FOR CLEANING RECLAIMED ASPHALT
A method is disclosed for removing oil from oil covered rocks of reclaimed asphalt that is milled from pavement of a roadway. The oil covered rocks are cleaned so as to be suitable to be mixed with virgin rocks to make new asphalt. The oil covered rocks are submerged within and moved through a water filled bath by an oil scrubber (e.g., a motor driven screw or set of paddles) where the rocks are agitated and rubbed together to cause the oil to separate therefrom. To enhance the oil removal process, steam is sprayed under pressure into the bath from an overhead manifold. To further enhance the oil removal process, the rocks are preheated within an insulated hot box prior to their receipt by the water bath. The cleaned rocks are removed from the bath to be collected, dried and recycled.
