Disclosed is a rolling mill including: a stand; two working rolls, two support rolls, and two intermediate rolls; lateral support rolls, able to support the working rolls laterally, each lateral support roll being borne by a support arm, mounted with the ability to pivot; load spreading beams and a mechanism for applying a preload on each support arm, including at least one preload actuating cylinder; one or more spray nozzles for a lubricating/cooling fluid, and wherein at least one of the nozzles, is carried on one of the support arms and in which the fluid supply circuit for the at least one nozzle comprises a device for connection/disconnection with the support arm with actuator. The actuator is an actuator distinct from the actuating cylinder of the mechanism for applying a preload.

DETERMINATION OF AN ADJUSTMENT OF A ROLL STAND
Slabs pass through a furnace in a conveying direction, are heated to rolling temperature, and are rolled in at least one roller stand. Determining device receives information showing the regions occupied by the slabs relative to one another when passing through the furnace in at least one direction orthogonal to the conveying direction, and determines, for at least one rolling pass of the respective slab, an adjustment of the roller stand performing this rolling pass without prior determination of a respective temperature distribution of a respective slab or without utilization of a determined temperature of a respective slab. The determining device takes into account the region occupied by the respective preceding and/or following slab, seen in the conveying direction, relative to the respective slab, and supplies the respective determined adjustment of the roller stand to a control device, which controls the roller stand when the respective slab is being rolled.
DETERMINATION OF AN ADJUSTMENT OF A ROLL STAND
Slabs pass through a furnace in a conveying direction, are heated to rolling temperature, and are rolled in at least one roller stand. Determining device receives information showing the regions occupied by the slabs relative to one another when passing through the furnace in at least one direction orthogonal to the conveying direction, and determines, for at least one rolling pass of the respective slab, an adjustment of the roller stand performing this rolling pass without prior determination of a respective temperature distribution of a respective slab or without utilization of a determined temperature of a respective slab. ROLLING APPARATUS
A rolling apparatus, including a stand, at least two rolls, which are attached to the stand by chocks and are displaceable in relation to one another in the axial direction, and at least one axial displacing device, which is assigned to a chock of at least one of the rolls and can act on this chock. The axial displacing device has a fixed block, at least one displaceable bending block and at least one displacing cylinder, which is assigned to the bending block and by which the bending block can be displaced in relation to the fixed block. The fixed block is of a multipart form.
ROLLING APPARATUS
A rolling apparatus, including a stand, at least two rolls, which are attached to the stand by chocks and are displaceable in relation to one another in the axial direction, and at least one axial displacing device, which is assigned to a chock of at least one of the rolls and can act on this chock. The axial displacing device has a fixed block, at least one displaceable bending block and at least one displacing cylinder, which is assigned to the bending block and by which the bending block can be displaced in relation to the fixed block. The fixed block is of a multipart form.
