STEEL SECTION ROLLING MILL
A section mill (10) for the rolling of steel sections is disclosed. The section mill includes a universal mill stand (12) and an edger mill stand (14) for rolling a workpiece (18) in a plurality of back-and-forth passes into a steel section having a web and one or more flanges. The section mill further includes a cooling arrangement (16) for cooling the workpiece while it undergoes rolling during one or more of the passes. The cooling arrangement includes a cooling box (20) having a spray head (21) with spray openings (22) for spraying jets of pressurized cooling liquid against the workpiece. The cooling arrangement further includes an actuator (38, 34) configured to move the cooling box relative to the stand frame (58) of the universal mill stand and/or of the edger mill stand for adjusting a distance between the spray openings and the workpiece.
Device for adjusting an edging roll of an edging stand
The invention relates to a device 1 for positioning an edging roll 10 of an edging stand, comprising an edging frame 12 to which at least one balancing cylinder 14 is attached, a balancing crossbeam 16 with a drive side 18 positioned opposite of the edging frame 12, and a working side 19 positioned opposite of the drive side 18, wherein a bearing device 20 for the edging roll 10 can be attached, in particular in an interlocking manner, to the balancing crossbeam 16 on the working side 19 thereof and at least one linkage 24 is provided on the drive side 18 thereof, by which linkage the balancing cylinder 14 is in an operative connection with the balancing crossbeam 16, and at least one positioning cylinder 26 attached to the edging frame 12 can be brought into an operative connection with the bearing device (20) in the direction of a rolled material in order to position the edging roll 10 against the rolled material, wherein the compressive force generated by the positioning cylinder 26 acts on the bearing device 20 along an operational axis 28, which either intersects with the at least one linkage 24 by which the balancing cylinder 14 is operatively connected with the balancing crossbeam 16 or runs directly alongside this linkage 24.
Device for adjusting an edging roll of an edging stand
The invention relates to a device 1 for positioning an edging roll 10 of an edging stand, comprising an edging frame 12 to which at least one balancing cylinder 14 is attached, a balancing crossbeam 16 with a drive side 18 positioned opposite of the edging frame 12, and a working side 19 positioned opposite of the drive side 18, wherein a bearing device 20 for the edging roll 10 can be attached, in particular in an interlocking manner, to the balancing crossbeam 16 on the working side 19 thereof and at least one linkage 24 is provided on the drive side 18 thereof, by which linkage the balancing cylinder 14 is in an operative connection with the balancing crossbeam 16, and at least one positioning cylinder 26 attached to the edging frame 12 can be brought into an operative connection with the bearing device (20) in the direction of a rolled material in order to position the edging roll 10 against the rolled material, wherein the compressive force generated by the positioning cylinder 26 acts on the bearing device 20 along an operational axis 28, which either intersects with the at least one linkage 24 by which the balancing cylinder 14 is operatively connected with the balancing crossbeam 16 or runs directly alongside this linkage 24.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING H-SHAPED STEEL
A large-size H-shaped steel product is efficiently and stably produced by performing flat shaping and rolling of a large-size raw blank while improving a generation efficiency of flanges without bringing about problems such as elongation in a web height direction and deformation of a flange corresponding part. A rough rolling step includes an edging rolling step of rolling and shaping a material to be rolled into a predetermined almost dog-bone shape, and a flat rolling step of performing rolling of a web part by rotating the material to be rolled after completion of the edging rolling step by 90 or 270, upper and lower caliber rolls of at least one caliber of calibers configured to perform the flat rolling step include recessed parts configured to form a raised part at a middle of a web part of the material to be rolled, the recessed parts being provided at roll barrel length middle parts of the upper and lower caliber rolls, a width of the raised part formed in the flat rolling step is set to 25% or more and 50% or less of a web part inner size of the material to be rolled, and a thickness of the web part rolled in the flat rolling step is set to a predetermined thickness thicker than a web part thickness when the intermediate rolling step is started.
