System and method for the continuous casting and subsequent flat rolling of a steel strip
A system for the continuous casting and subsequent flat rolling of a steel strip with an austenitic and/or ferritic microstructure and a thickness of less than 1.0 mm comprises a casting device with which a raw steel strip with a thickness in the range of 1.50 to 4.0 mm can be continuously cast. At least one hot rolling stand is coupled to the casting device, with which the raw steel strip can be roughed into the steel strip immediately after the casting process while still in the austenitic and/or ferritic microstructure range. At least one rolling module is arranged immediately after the hot rolling stand coupled to the casting device. The rolling module includes, in this order, a cooling device, a heating device and a hot rolling stand with which the roughed steel strip can be hot-rolled in the austenitic and/or ferritic microstructure range to specifications into the steel strip.
Method and apparatus for producing flat metal products
Method for the production of flat metal products, in particular coils of strip, in endless and/or semi-endless mode, in which a metal product is continuously fed to a rolling mill consisting overall of at least 4 stands. The rolling stands are, in sequence, roughing stands, and finishing stands. It is provided to perform a flying gauge change of the metal product exiting from the rolling mill.

A continuous casting and rolling line for casting, rolling, and otherwise preparing metal strip can produce distributable metal strip without requiring cold rolling or the use of a solution heat treatment line. A metal strip can be continuously cast from a continuous casting device and coiled into a metal coil, optionally after being subjected to post-casting quenching. This intermediate coil can be stored until ready for hot rolling. The as-cast metal strip can undergo reheating prior to hot rolling, either during coil storage or immediately prior to hot rolling. The heated metal strip can be cooled to a rolling temperature and hot rolled through one or more roll stands. The rolled metal strip can optionally be reheated and quenched prior to coiling for delivery. This final coiled metal strip can be of the desired gauge and have the desired physical characteristics for distribution to a manufacturing facility.

Provided herein are systems and methods for producing thick gauge aluminum alloy articles such as plates, shates, slabs, sheet plates or the like. A method for producing thick gauge aluminum alloy articles can include continuously casting an aluminum alloy article and hot or warm rolling the aluminum alloy article. Also provided herein is a continuous casting system for producing thick gauge aluminum alloy articles. The disclosed thick gauge aluminum alloy articles can be provided in any suitable temper.
Double cold reduction strip for shadow mask and process for producing the same
The present invention discloses a double cold reduction strip for shadow mask and a process for producing the same, comprising the following procedures: converter steelmaking.fwdarw.continuous billet casting.fwdarw.hot rolling.fwdarw.pickling and cold rolling.fwdarw.continuous annealing.fwdarw.double cold reduction.fwdarw.finishing and oiling. The weight percentages of essential elements of the shadow mask strip are: C: 0.001%, Mn: 0.100.40%, Al: 0.020.06%, Si: 0.025%, P: 0.015%, S: 0.01%, O: 0.004%, with remainders composed of Fe and inevitable impurities. Through the composition design for the elements in steel material according to the present invention, on the one hand, the weight percentage of carbon is controlled at a low level; on the other hand, the middle decarburization annealing process is omitted, the annealing temperature is declined, the production period is shortened and the production cost is reduced; through the optimization for rolling parameters and roller processing in the double cold reduction, procedures for degreasing and finishing are removed, and steels with excellent mechanical property and high surface quality are obtained.
