SIX-HIGH ROLLING MILL STAND AND FINISHING MILL TRAIN FOR HOT ROLLING AN INTERMEDIATE STRIP INTO A THIN STRIP
A six-high rolling (also known as sexto) mill stand that is suited for hot rolling an intermediate strip into a thin strip that is less than 0.8 mm thick. A combined casting and rolling installation that includes the six-high rolling mill stand allowing for hot rolling in long uninterrupted sequences, without any change of the work rolls to obtain a strip with good geometry due to moderate rolling forces.
METAL CASTING AND ROLLING LINE
A continuous casting and rolling line for casting, rolling, and otherwise preparing metal strip can produce distributable metal strip without requiring cold rolling or the use of a solution heat treatment line. A metal strip can be continuously cast from a continuous casting device and coiled into a metal coil, optionally after being subjected to post-casting quenching. This intermediate coil can be stored until ready for hot rolling. The as-cast metal strip can undergo reheating prior to hot rolling, either during coil storage or immediately prior to hot rolling. The heated metal strip can be cooled to a rolling temperature and hot rolled through one or more roll stands. The rolled metal strip can optionally be reheated and quenched prior to coiling for delivery. This final coiled metal strip can be of the desired gauge and have the desired physical characteristics for distribution to a manufacturing facility.

Provided is a warm-pressed member comprising, by weight %, C: 0.01% to 0.5%, Si: 3.0% or less (excluding 0%), Mn: 3% to 15%, P: 0.0001% to 0.1%, S: 0.0001% to 0.03%, Al: 3.0% or less (excluding 0%), N: 0.03% or less (excluding 0%), and the balance of Fe and inevitable impurities. After a warm press forming process and a cooling process, the warm-pressed member has a microstructure comprising: 5 volume % to 50 volume % of retained austenite; and at least one of ferrite, martensite, tempered martensite, and bainite as a remainder.

There are provided a magnesium alloy coil stock having good flatness and a method for producing the magnesium alloy coil stock, and a magnesium alloy structural member that uses the coil stock and a method for producing the magnesium alloy structural member. The coil stock is obtained by coiling a sheet composed of a magnesium alloy in a cylindrical shape, and the internal diameter of the coil stock is 1000 mm or less. The coil stock can be produced by rolling a cast material obtained by subjecting a magnesium alloy to continuous casting, subjecting the rolled sheet to warm leveling, and coiling the worked sheet in a cylindrical shape while the temperature just before coiling is decreased to 100 C. or less.

COILER DEVICE AND GATE DEVICE PROVIDED WITH GUIDE UNIT
This gate device is provided with a guide unit having a guide section that is disposed at the downstream side of pinch rollers at a path line along which a metal sheet is conveyed, opens/closes a coil-up line that is curved from the path line, and guides the upwards-facing surface side of the metal sheet led in to the coil-up line. A configuration is adopted such that the guide unit has a main body frame and a liner that is attached to the main body frame, forms at least a portion of the second guide surface that guides the metal sheet, has a lower coefficient of friction than the main body frame, and has a lower hardness than that of the metal sheet.

Provided is an apparatus of removing foreign substances from a hot-rolled steel strip, including a reverse direction injection unit provided to inject high-pressure water in the reverse direction of a moving direction of the strip toward the strip moving to the entrance of the winder by the side guide, wherein the reverse direction injection unit includes a plurality of upper reverse direction injection nozzles arranged along a width direction of the strip to inject high-pressure water to an upper surface of the strip, and the plurality of upper reverse direction injection nozzles is arranged such that an interval of the upper reverse direction injection nozzles located in a central area along the above arrangement direction is narrower than an interval of the upper reverse direction injection nozzles located in both edge areas.
