COOLING-WATER INJECTION CONTROL DEVICE AND COOLING-WATER INJECTION CONTROL METHOD FOR ROLLING MILL
A cooling-water injection control device and a cooling-water injection control method for a rolling mill suppress influence by change in flow rate characteristics of water injection headers. The cooling-water injection control device for a rolling mill includes a water injection amount control unit. When a plurality of water injection headers are controlled to make temperature of a material to be rolled on a delivery side of a rolling mill coincident with a target value, in a case where a flow rate of any one of the plurality of water injection headers is less than a transient flow rate between a minimum flow rate and a maximum flow rate, the water injection amount control unit controls a flow rate of any one of the plurality of water injection headers based on priority.
Cooling of an obliquely positioned flat rolled product
A flat rolled metal product (1) is first hot-rolled in at least one rolling stand (2), then fed to a cooling zone (5) arranged downstream of the rolling stand (2) and finally cooled in the cooling zone (5). During the rolling in the rolling stand (2), the flat rolled product (1) is oriented horizontally. Before running into the cooling zone (5) and/or when running into the cooling zone (5), the flat rolled product (1) is turned by a first acute angle (a) about an axis running in the transporting direction (x), so that after completion of the turning about the axis the flat rolled product (1) is oriented obliquely. The flat rolled product (1) is cooled in the cooling zone (5) while it is oriented obliquely. The product (1) is then returned to horizontal orientation.
STEEL STRIP COILING TEMPERATURE CONTROL METHOD, DEVICE FOR THE SAME AND STEEL STRIP PROCESSING SYSTEM
The present disclosure discloses a steel strip coiling temperature control method, a steel strip coiling temperature control device and a steel strip processing system, which relate to the technical field of steel strip production. The method comprises: seeking a corresponding speed compensation coefficient according to a target thickness of the steel strip and a target temperature parameter; seeking a corresponding speed gain coefficient from a second correspondence table according to a steel strip speed; correcting the steel strip speed based on the speed compensation coefficient and the speed gain coefficient to obtain a corrected steel strip speed; and adjusting a cooling efficiency of a laminar flow cooling apparatus according to the corrected steel strip speed. With the method, the cooling efficiency of the laminar flow cooling apparatus can be dynamically adjusted according to the steel strip speed, thereby solving the problem that that there is a great difference in coiling temperature between a tail section of the steel strip and a front section of the steel strip caused by the steel strip throwing process, and reducing the amount of cutting loss of the steel strip.

ADAPTATION OF A ROLL MODEL
A storage device for two rolls in a roll stand is a component part of the roll stand or can be positioned relative to the roll stand in such a way that the rolls can be transferred from the roll stand into the storage device or vice versa. At least one measuring system is provided, by means of which the temperatures and/or the diameters of the rolls can be detected individually and independently of one another, at least at predefined detection positions, as viewed in the direction of the roll axes. After transmission to an automation unit that controls the roll stand, the unit can adapt a roll model, by means of which it repeatedly determines the temperatures and/or the diameters of the rolls, at predefined determination positions, in the direction of the roll axes, using operating data of the roll stand for the rolls of the same type.

Meandering control device for rolling line
There is provided a meandering control device for a rolling line capable of setting temperature of a material to be rolled so as to suppress meandering of the material to be rolled. The meandering control includes a tail end roll force calculation unit that calculates a predictive value of roll force when entry side tension is not applied, an allowable meandering amount roll force calculation unit that calculates a reference value of the roll force applied to the material to be rolled when a meandering amount of the material to be rolled is an allowable amount, and a temperature rise amount calculation unit that calculates a temperature rise amount of the material to be rolled, based on a difference between the predictive value of the roll force and the reference value of the roll force.

Pre-heating and thermal control of work rolls in metal rolling processes and control systems thereof
Systems and methods for using full-width hot sprays to pre-heat rolling mills prior to processing of metal sheet or plate are described herein. The hot sprays may be individually controlled. Using hot sprays can allow the rolling mill to reach operating temperature and achieve a desired thermal crown so that metal sheet or plate may be processed immediately within tolerances for flatness and gauge accuracy. Pre-heating of rolling mills can eliminate the need of the rolling mill to operate in a transitional period of work roll heating and can increase efficiency by eliminating or reducing scrap material and mill downtime. Hot sprays may also be incorporated with existing coolant systems to provide thermal control systems for rolling mills with bi-directional temperature controls.
