Described herein are systems, modes, and methods for mounting one or more electronic housings to each other and to a rack mount system, a table mount system, or wall mount system. The mounting system includes a first pair of matching sliding panels that interface with each other in a slidingly engaging manner. Each of the first pair of sliding panels can be mounted to housings prior to being engaged with each other; the engagement of the first pair of sliding panels removably fixes the two housings together; additional housings can be fixed to the first two in a substantially similar manner. The first pair of sliding panels includes a U-shaped sliding panel and a C-shaped sliding panel, and according to a second embodiment, a second pair of sliding panels includes a C-shaped sliding panel and a Pi-shaped sliding panel. The second pair of sliding panels operates in a substantially similar manner as the first pair of sliding panels.

The first end bracket has a first hook that receives the top edge of the main panel. The vertical panels are also secured to either one of a top panel or a bottom panel so that either the top panel or the bottom panel holds the vertical panels against lateral movement relative to the main panel.

An apparatus and method for releasably lockable furniture. The apparatus includes a receptable bracket having a plurality of chambers on one furniture component and a corresponding plurality of projections on a second furniture component. A release device having a release button is included with the receptacle bracket while a cavity, configured for receiving that release button therein, is formed into a region where the plurality of projections is present. To connect the components, the projections are inserted into the corresponding chambers and two components are slid in opposite direction so that the release button is seated in the cavity, thereby releasably locking the two components together. Additional receptacle brackets with the release device can be provided on the first component and additional plurality of projections with the cavity can be provided on the second component. To disassemble, the release button(s) are depressed and the two components moved in opposite directions.
