Control method for mill train
A current temperature is ascertained for sections of a strip ahead of a first mill stand. The temperatures of the strip sections are predicted with a prediction horizon corresponding to multiple strip sections, including when each strip section is milled in the first mill stand for which time a nip profile formed by the working rolls is predicted. A control parameter for milling a specific strip section in the first mill stand is ascertained for controlling a control device of the first mill stand. A manipulated variable curve for the control device, influencing the nip profile of a nip formed by working rolls of the first mill stand, is set for the prediction horizon and optimized for the predicted nip profile and a desired profile. The current value of the optimized manipulated variable curve corresponds to the control parameter which is fed to the control device as the manipulated variable.
Rolling taking frequency behavior into account
A roll stand of a rolling mill is supplied with a metal strip by an upstream supply device at an in-feed speed (v), with said metal strip being rolled in the roll stand. A measuring device between the supply device and the roll stand detects a respective thickness value (d) of the metal strip for consecutive sections of the metal strip and supplies said value to a control device of the rolling mill. The control device determines final thickness deviations based on the preliminary thickness deviations. The control device determines a respective control value (A2, A3) for the roll stand and/or the supply device for the sections of the metal strip based on the final thickness deviation of the respective section of the metal strip and the final thickness deviations of multiple preceding and/or subsequent sections of the metal strip.
Device and method for rolling a metal strip
A device and a method for rolling a metal strip. A distance of the upper/lower backup roll at at least one point thereof from a predetermined upper/lower reference point is measured by an upper/lower sensor and the measured values of the sensors are sent to a control device. A strain of the roll stand is calculated using a mathematical model, taking into account the rolling force generated. By the control device, an absolute value of the roll gap and thus the resulting thickness of the rolling stock is determined by the control device on the basis of the measured positions of the backup rolls and the calculated strain of the roll stand.
Reducer and/or calibrating rolling mill for rod-shaped bodies
A stretch reducer and/or calibrating rolling mill for rod-shaped bodies, in particular tubular bodies, in particular hollow bodies, said rolling mill comprising a plurality of rolling stands each comprising a plurality of rolling rollers mutually arranged so as to define a passage for said rod-shaped bodies, wherein said rolling stands are arranged in sequence along a rolling direction so that the respective passages are substantially aligned to define a rolling path substantially parallel to said rolling direction, wherein each of at least two of said rolling stands comprises three rolling rollers.
