20200038928 · 2020-02-06 ·

A bar and tube extruding press for thrilling metal ingots into profiles, tubes, bars or the like includes a male die and a female die, through which a metal ingot can be pressed by the male die a container, and a driving device, in which the driving device has at least one main cylinder tor applying the main pressing force of the male die to the metal ingots, characterized in that on the one hand the driving device having at least one speed-controlled internal gear pump for providing the hydraulic oil to the at least one main cylinder, with which the at least one main cylinder can be driven, and at least one hydraulic advance and/or return cylinder for moving the male die in relation to the female die or at least one electrical drive for moving the male die in relation to the female die and with which the male die can be moved into a position in which the speed-controlled internal gear pump only then interacts with the at least one main cylinder in such a way that the main pressing force is applied to the male die by the at least one main cylinder.

Forward and Backward Extrusion Composite Forming Method Using Mould Having Open Inner Cavity

The present invention discloses a forward and backward extrusion composite forming method using a mould having an open inner cavity, including the following steps: (1) the structural design and assembly of the forward and backward extrusion composite mould having the open inner cavity; (2) the preparation of the initial billet; and (3) forward and backward extrusion composite forming. The present invention can greatly improve the length-diameter ratio of the blind hole and is widely used in alloy steel, aluminum alloy, magnesium alloy, copper alloy and other components.

Die-slide device of extrusion press

An extrusion press die-slide device is equipped with: a fixed frame; a moveable frame that can move linearly but which is supported by the fixed frame in a non-rotatable manner; a first motion conversion mechanism that converts input rotational motion to linear motion and outputs the same to cause the moveable frame to move linearly with respect to the fixed frame; and a second motion conversion mechanism attached to the moveable frame and equipped with a pusher to impart a pressing force to a die of the extrusion press, and which transmits the input rotational motion to the first motion conversion mechanism and converts the input rotational motion to linear motion and outputs the same to cause the pusher to move linearly with respect to the moveable frame.

Butt retrieval system

A butt retrieval system having a butt retrieval receptacle supported outside the main footprint of an extrusion press such that maintenance and/or repair of the system is simplified. The butt retrieval system includes a butt retrieval receptacle moveable between a butt retrieving position and a butt unloading position. The butt retrieval receptable has a cantilevered arm extending from a base portion of the butt retrieval receptacle in a direction towards the centerline of the associated extrusion press.

Long cartridge case

A method and tooling for forming a cartridge case blank comprising backward extruding a tube from a length of wire stock in multiple backward extrusion steps with progressive tooling to obtain an intermediate blank that can be finish drawn without a preceding annealing step and which if otherwise not subjected to multiple backward extrusion steps, would require annealing prior to finish drawing to avoid tearing.

Extrusion press systems and methods

One or more hollow billets are loaded onto an elongate mandrel bar for extrusion. The billets are transported along the mandrel bar to a rotating die. The billets are transported through fluid clamps, which engage the mandrel bar and provide cooling fluid to the mandrel bar tip, and through mandrel grips, which engage the mandrel bar and prevent the mandrel bar from rotating. One or more press-rams advance the billets through a centering insert and into the rotating die. A quench assembly is provided at an extrusion end of the extrusion press to quench the extruded material. A programmable logic controller may be provided to control, at least in part, operations of the extrusion press system.
