EXTRUSION FORMING APPARATUS, METHOD USING THE SAME, AND PRODUCT THEREFROM
An extrusion forming apparatus includes a mold disposed in a front open end of an extruding channel of a housing, a holding seat disposed in front of the front open end and partially extending into the extruding channel to abut the mold, and a vibrating source connected to the housing in abutment with the holding seat and controllable to apply an ultrasonic energy to the mold through the holding seat. An extrusion forming method is carried out by the extrusion forming apparatus. An extruded product is made by the extrusion forming method using the extrusion forming apparatus.
LUBRICANT AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MAGNESIUM ALLOY TUBES
A lubricant includes at least 45 wt % paraffin oil, less than 8 wt % of a pyrophosphate or triphosphate, more than 6 wt % of a group 6 disulfide or diselenide and up to 27.5 wt % of graphite. The lubricant is used in a method for producing a magnesium alloy tube via extrusion, and is especially useful to form implants such as stents while maintaining the biocompatibility of the magnesium alloy.

Apparatus and method for fabricating high strength long nanostructured tubes
An improved apparatus and method of fabricating long nanostructured or ultrafine grained tubes includes, in one implementation, expanding and extruding a sample material through cyclic deformations. The first cycle begins with expanding the sample through a die unit by applying pressure using a punch box, then with extruding the sample by applying back pressure using a stationary mandrel, which in turn reduces the expanded sample diameter to the original diameter. The next cycle begins with inverting the die unit to further extrude the sample with no need to apply back pressure. Furthermore, resistant forces against the sample are reduced by using a lubricant material inside the die unit, thus allowing continuation of additional cycles without constraining the sample length, resulting in desired strength and elongation.

Method of Manufacturing Two Tubes Simultaneously and Machine for Use Therein
A method is used to manufacture a tube having a hollow interior for housing an axle shaft. The tube is formed in a single machine having a fixed base and a single press structure movable toward the fixed base. The single machine includes first and second die assemblies coupled to the fixed base and first and second mandrels coupled to the single press structure. The method includes the steps of placing a billet into the first die assembly, pressing the billet into the first die assembly with the first mandrel to producing a pre-formed billet, and moving the pre-formed billet from the first die assembly to the second die assembly. THE method further includes the steps of pressing the pre-formed billet into the second die assembly with the second mandrel to elongate the pre-formed billet and form a hollow interior therein to produce an extruded tube.

METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING COLD-FORGED, EXTRUDED ALUMINUM ALLOY TUBE
A method for manufacturing a cold-forged, extruded aluminum alloy tube includes the steps of: providing a primary material having a hollow columnar shape and made of an aluminum alloy material, and a first cold extrusion apparatus; processing the primary material to form a preform; subjecting the preform to a homogeneous annealing by heating to a temperature of about 410 C. to 510 C. and then cooling to a temperature of about 160 C. to 200 C.; testing the hardness of the preform; immersing the preform in a tank containing lubricant having a free total acidity concentration of 40 to 50 mg/L at a working temperature of 80 C. to 100 C.; and subjecting the preform to cold extrusion.
