SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ANNEALING SHEET METAL COILS
A facility with an annealing system including one or more (typically a plurality of) autonomous vehicles, e.g., shuttles, cars, etc., which autonomous vehicles each receive sheet metal coils, e.g., one, two, or more sheet metal coils, and move the sheet metal coils about the facility. The sheet metal coils generally include aluminum coils, though other sheet metal coils, such as brass, copper, steel, etc. coils, can be used without departing from the scope of the present disclosure. The annealing system also can include a stationary unit or component, or a plurality of stationary units, configured to dock with the autonomous vehicles to facilitate annealing of the coils on or within the autonomous vehicles.
METHOD FOR SPATIALLY ARRANGING COILS IN A COIL STORE, AND COMBINATION OF A PROCESSING MACHINE AND A COIL STORE
Method for spatially arranging coils, the method comprising: providing electronic data about an initial storage state, which electronic data contains information about a respective initial diameter of the coils and a respective initial spatial storage position of the coils in a coil store; transporting a selected coil from an initial storage position to a processing machine for processing at least a portion of the sheet metal of the selected coil; sensing a reduced diameter of the selected coil after the portion of the sheet metal has been removed from the selected coil for processing by the processing machine; storing the reduced diameter of the selected coil; transporting the selected coil having the reduced diameter to a depositing storage position which, depending on the reduced diameter, is selected to differ from the initial storage position in a manner that saves storage space; and storing the depositing storage position.

Coiled material transporting device, press system and coiled material transporting method
A coiled material transporting device is disposed between a coiled material supply device supplying a coiled material, and a press device pressing the coiled material supplied from the coiled material supply device. The coiled material supply device includes a support, a first driver, and a transporter. The support is extendable and retractable along a direction of a die disposed in the press device. The support is configured to support from below a terminal end of the coiled material supplied from the coiled material supply device. The first driver is configured to cause the support to extend and retract. The transporter is provided to the support and is configured to transport the terminal end of the coiled material toward the die disposed in the press device.
