MACHINE FOR BENDING METAL INCLUDING AN ADJUSTABLE BACKGAUGE
A press brake for bending a workpiece that includes a movable ram and a support beam. The press brake includes a backgauge that has an arm with a plurality of fingers for grasping the workpiece. The arm is mounted to an arm support that is mounted on a carriage that is mounted on a backgauge support frame. The arm is configured to swing relative to the arm support in a plane perpendicular to the carriage from a position projecting away from one side of the carriage to a position projecting away from the other side of the carriage. The carriage is configured to rotate 180 degrees so that opposite sides of the workpiece may be positioned under the ram to thereby allow for bending operations to be performed on opposite sides of the workpiece without removing the workpiece from the backgauge.

At least one of the support modules (17, 18) is horizontally displaceable in the longitudinal direction (21) of the bending machine (1) and as a result a first gap (22) extending at right angles to the blank-holder edge (12) can be set between the two support modules (17, 18). The support modules (17, 18) each have at least a first support element (24) and a second support element (24, 25) with a second gap (26) located between the support elements (24, 25), which second gap (26) is oriented parallel to the blank-holder edge (12).
Adjustable compound bending jig for manual metal brake
An adjustable jig for a sheet metal brake including a first arm configured to mount to the brake, and an adjustable backstop affixed on the first arm. The adjustable backstop is set at an adjustable first distance from a front face of the brake when the first arm is mounted to the brake. A first adjustable front stop can be configured to engage the first arm and retain an adjustable first front stop position relative to the first arm. A second adjustable front stop can be configured to engage the first arm and retain an adjustable second front stop position relative to the first arm. The first and second front stops are independently adjustable relative to the first arm. A sheet metal brake with an adjustable jig. A method for bending sheet metal with a sheet metal brake and an adjustable jig.
BENDING SYSTEM, AND DIVIDED TOOL ARRANGEMENT METHOD
A gathering operation includes a restraint operation of moving forward a left lower tool retention member so as to restrain a reference lower tool with the left lower tool retention member, an inserting operation of moving forward a right lower tool retention member so as to insert the right lower tool retention member into an insertion hole of a target lower tool, and an execution operation of moving the left and right lower tool retention members along a left-right direction so as to come close with each other. If a failure of the inserting operation is determined, a control device performs a retry operation of moving forward the right lower tool retention member again so as to insert the right lower tool retention member into the insertion hole (141) of the target lower tool after moving backward the left lower tool retention member.
PRODUCTION SYSTEM WITH A MANIPULATION DEVICE
The invention relates to a production system (1) comprising a bending tool (11), a tool store (12), a bending machine (4) and a manipulation device (13) which performs a travelling movement from a tool store position located in the region of the tool store (12) to a machine operating position located in the region of the bending machine (4). A first coupling element (18) is arranged on the manipulation device (13) and a second coupling element (19) is arranged on the bending machine (4). In the machine operating position, the two coupling elements (18, 19) are coupled together, through which the manipulation device (13) is fixed in position relative to the bending machine (4) and thus a reference position is set.
Method for manufacturing product, punch, manufacturing system, device, and product
A method for manufacturing a product includes placing a processing target material on a die, bringing a first punch into contact with the processing target material placed on the die, and bending the processing target material by pressing the processing target material by the first punch. The bringing the first punch into contact with the processing target material placed on the die includes bringing two pressing portions of the first punch into contact with two first groove portions of the processing target material and bringing a recess portion of the first punch into contact with a projection portion of the processing target material.
Method and device for determining a bending angle on a bending machine
The present disclosure is directed to a method for determining the bending angle on a bending machine, wherein the bending machine includes an upper tool and a lower tool for reshaping a workpiece by bending along a bending line. One or more measuring arrangements are positioned on the bending machine, which together include at least one illumination device and in each case at least one image acquisition device. Each measuring arrangement is assigned a different surface portion of the workpiece which lies laterally adjacent to the bending line and extends along the bending line. A light pattern is imaged on the workpiece by means of the at least one illumination device of a respective measuring arrangement onto the assigned surface portion. The light pattern contains a plurality of zones which are arranged side by side along the bending line.
Industrial machine for bending metallic flat elements
An industrial machine (1) for bending metallic flat elements (E) comprising a support framework (2) which insists on a reference surface (T), a working plan (3), connected to the support framework (2) and accessible to the operator, adapted to receive the metallic flat element (E) to be folded, bending means (4), arranged frontally to the working plan (3) and coupled to the support frame (2), suitable to bend upwards and/or downwards at least one side edge of the metallic flat element (E), handling and supply means (5), operatively connected to the working plan (3), suitable for supplying/removing the metallic flat element (E) to/from the bending means (4), and actuation means (6), operatively connected to the handling and supply means (5) to move them along a vertical direction (Y) and/or horizontal direction (X) determining the displacement with respect to the working plan (3).
Mechanical contact device, such as a back stop for a press brake
The device comprises a base (12), a mobile support (14), a contact member (16), a lever (34) which comprises a blocking arm (38) pivotally mounted around an axis (36). The device comprises retention means (40, 42) capable of opposing the pivoting of the lever. The device also comprises a reaction member (48A) fixed with respect to the base (12) and capable of cooperating with a reaction zone of the blocking arm (38) by defining a reaction surface inclined with respect to the translation direction X of the support on the base. The pivoting of the lever allowed by the release of the retention means allows the displacement of the contact member.
Table assembly for press brake system
A table assembly is used to support a workpiece to facilitate bending of the workpiece. The table assembly is attached to a press brake system and include a base and a clamp. The clamp is movable relative to the base to enable placement of the workpiece onto the base, and the clamp secures the workpiece to the base to block relative movement between the workpiece and the press brake system without additional user operations. The workpiece is secured via the table assembly without a manual force (e.g., to hold the workpiece in place) while the press brake system operates to bend the workpiece. The table assembly reduces, limits, or eliminates certain user operations during metalworking. The table assembly improves user experience (e.g., reduce an amount of manual labor) and/or efficiency associated with press brake operations.
