A mechanical rod bender is provided for correcting a curvature or deformity in a patient's spine based on the digitized locations of implanted screws and tracking the placement of the rod as it is placed in a minimally invasive fashion. The mechanical rod bender includes a fixed die and a movable die, the movable die having multiple rod contact channels to accommodate spinal rods of different sizes.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR BENDING

A bending apparatus (10) includes an upper first die (11), an upper second die (12), a lower die (13), a control unit (20), an upper first moving mechanism (21), an upper second moving mechanism (22), a lower moving mechanism (23), a holding die (31), and a moving and rotating mechanism (32). The lower die (13) is moved in an upper direction after the upper first die (11) and the upper second die (12) are moved to the front, whereby four coil segments (4) are bent. When the upper second die (12) is moved to a first withdrawal position in the rear direction after the four coil segments (4) are bent, a working space for the holding die (31) is ensured.

Automated bender and systems and methods for providing data to operate an automated bender

An automated bender and its method of operation according to some embodiments of the disclosure is provided. The automated bender includes a carousel which has all of the necessary components for bending a variety of conduit sizes provided thereon. The carousel can be rotated to a desired bending position to bend a particular type of conduit. A straight workpiece is fed into the automated bender and a bent workpiece, which may have multiple bends therein, is output from the automated bender. This bending process is performed without manual intervention. Software for achieving same is provided.

Adapter and Handle for Pipe Bender Head
20240165686 · 2024-05-23 ·

Adapters and an all-in-one handle to couple with pipe bender heads of different sizes are disclosed. Different pipe bender heads may require differently sized handles that couple to the varying coupling bores of the pipe bender heads. Carrying and having multiple handles on the job site may be cumbersome. Instead of carrying multiple handles, the user may carry adapters that may be used to couple the different pipe bender heads to a single sized handle. The adapters may have a first mating section to couple with the coupling bores of various pipe bender heads and a second mating section to couple with the all-in-one handle.

Tie bar tensioning system
10252309 · 2019-04-09 · ·

A tie bar tensioning system that allows a bending machine operator to removably couple an upper end of a bend die post of the bending machine to a base of the bending machine via a tie bar, and to lock the tie bar in a tensioned position. The tensioning system includes a stationary member and a rotatable member, each with aligned tie bar passages for receiving the one end of the tie bar. Both the stationary member and the rotatable member include respective engagement surfaces, with the rotatable member engagement surface being rotatable relative to the stationary member engagement surface between a released position and a tensioned position whereat the rotatable member is selectively lockable. The rotation of the rotatable member with the stationary engagement surface in engagement with the stationary engagement surface longitudinally displacing the rotatable member relative to the stationary member.
