Appartus and method for steering metal pipe during grooving process
An apparatus for steering a metal pipe during a roll grooving process including a clamp to be secured to a static structure of a grooving press spaced apart from a rotating cylinder of the grooving press, a pair of spaced parallel rods slidably disposed through spaced openings of the clamp, a handle affixed to first ends of the pair of spaced parallel rods distal from the rotating cylinder, and a guiding tool affixed to second ends of the pair of spaced parallel rods proximate to the rotating cylinder carrying spaced rollers adapted to contact an outer surface of a metal pipe during a roll grooving process to apply a force against the metal pipe. A method for applying a force against a metal pipe during a roll grooving process.

PROCESSING DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING PROCESSING DEVICE
A processing device processes a frame-shaped workpiece which extends in a prescribed extension direction, and includes, integrally, a plate-shaped web surface portion, a plate-shaped first flange portion that bends and extends from one end of the web surface portion, and a plate-shaped second flange portion which bends from the other end of the web surface portion and extends in the opposite direction to the first flange portion. The processing device includes a shaping device which conveys the workpiece in the extension direction, and an exit side pinch roll device provided further downstream, in the workpiece conveying flow direction, than the shaping device. The exit side pinch roll device includes a first roll which presses a central region of an upper surface side of the web surface portion, and a second roll which presses a central region of a lower surface side of the web surface portion.
SINGLE BENDING DEVICE FOR CONTINUOUS THREE-DIMENSIONAL BENDING
A single bending device for continuous three-dimensional bending has a rotating and feeding holder for holding a workpiece, a bending roller assembly having multiple rollers being different in radius, a pressing roller head for bending the workpiece. The bending roller assembly can be moved to allow one predetermined roller to abut against the workpiece. Then the workpiece can be bent by the pressing roller head pushing the workpiece along the predetermined roller. Thus, as long as a different one of the rollers corresponds in position to the workpiece, a bending portion having a different curvature can be formed on the workpiece. Moreover, by controlling the moving length of the pressing roller head along the workpiece, the arc length of each bending portion of the workpiece can be controlled accordingly. It is not necessary to replace the jigs and the dies repeatedly.

Apparatus for and method of manufacturing roll- formed component
To a fulcrum roll unit portion in a workpiece, a corresponding initial curvature radius is applied, and to a bending roll unit portion in a workpiece, a corresponding design curvature radius is applied. To an intermediate unit portion in a workpiece, an intermediate curvature radius set so as to continuously change from the initial curvature radius to the design curvature radius is applied. At least one of the fulcrum roll and the bending roll is moved on the basis of an integrated value obtained by integrating the amount of change in bending position in each of the intermediate unit portion and the bending roll unit portion.

BENDING MACHINE AND PROCESS
The invention relates to a bending machine (M) for bending a workpiece (300), remarkable in that a clamping jaw (511) is supported by a clamping jaw holder (510) receiving at least two clamping jaws (511, 512) arranged back to back,
the clamping jaw holder (510) being fastened to a shelf (513) guided and driven in translation on the bending arm (500),
the support shelves (600) punctually receiving the clamping jaw holder (510) separated from the shelf (513) and to move it on either side of the bending axis transversely to the advance axis of the workpiece (300) to be bent, independently of the bending arm (500) so that the clamping jaw holder (510) can be fastened again to the shelf (513) once the bending arm (500) has been rotated 180 degrees.
The invention also relates to a bending process.
