A CHAIR AND COMPONENTS
A chair support shell has an integral back portion, seat portion, and joining portion between the back portion and the seat portion. At least a major portion of the support shell comprises a compliant structure, the compliant structure having a plurality of cells interconnected by a plurality of resilient members. The compliant structure provides compliance in the seat portion, compliance in the back portion, and compliance in the joining portion. The compliant structure enables recline of the back portion relative to the seat portion.
Enclosed seating assembly
An example enclosed seating assembly includes a foldable chair enclosure. The example enclosed seating assembly also includes a perch seat for a user to rest against but not fully sit on in the foldable chair enclosure. At least one adjustable height foot platform is provided at the base of the foldable chair enclosure. At least one sensory module provides varied input for the user. The example enclosed seating assembly includes an anti-tip structure on the base of the foldable chair enclosure configured to reduce or altogether prevent tipping. The example enclosed seating assembly includes built in storage for the at least one sensory module. In an example, the enclosed seating assembly includes a door on a sidewall of the chair enclosure for the user to enter and exit the chair enclosure. In another example, the enclosed seating assembly includes a ramp.
Armrest device for adjusting inclination angle of backrest
An armrest device for adjusting an inclination angle of a backrest. The armrest device includes a side connecting bracket and an armrest. A lower end of the side connecting bracket is fixedly connected with a seat cushion. Right ends of the side connecting bracket and the armrest are rotatably connected with the backrest. An upper end of the side connecting bracket is fixedly connected with a positioning seat. An upper end of the positioning seat extends to an inner cavity of the armrest. The positioning seat shifts the inclination angle of the backrest and limits a position of the backrest through a positioning mechanism. A first spring limiting a movement of the armrest in an X direction and a second spring limiting a movement of the armrest in a Z direction are disposed between the positioning seat and the armrest.
Seat assembly
A method is provided for enhancing comfort of a seat with a hip/thigh support and a back support. The method includes providing a seating pad assembly with a foam cushion made at least partly of a viscoelastic foam and having a cover formed from a dimensionally stable non-stretch material. An upper area of the seating pad assembly is attached to an upper area of the seat back. Pelvic and upper back areas of a person sitting on the seat deform the viscoelastic foam sufficiently to provide a comfortable support and to define anchors for the seating pad assembly. The non-stretch cover extends between those anchors for effectively supporting and cradling the lumbar back area of the person in the seat above and forward of the corner between the seat back and the hip/thigh support.
Spring stool
A stool can include a base including at least three legs with each leg including a non-slip member and a spring-loaded caster. A lower helical spring may be coupled to the base. A connecting member may comprise a first end coupled to the lower helical spring, a second end opposite the first end, and a central axis that extends between the first end and the second end. An upper helical spring may be coupled to the second end of the connecting member. A rotational joint may be coupled to the upper helical spring. A seat may be coupled to the rotational joint and configured to rotate about the central axis of the connecting member. The base, lower helical spring, upper helical spring, rotational joint, and seat may share a common vertical axis with the central axis of the connecting member when at rest.
Apparatus and method for controlling headrest of vehicle seat
An apparatus for controlling a headrest for a vehicle seat includes: a headrest disposed at an upper side of a vehicle seat and that moves to an upper end or a lower end; a slider that moves the seat forward or rearward; a recliner that rotates the seat forward or rearward; a drive unit that operates the headrest, the slider and the recliner; a sensor unit connected to the drive unit and that detects a position of the headrest, a position of the slider and a rotation angle of the recliner; an input unit that receives an inputted operation instruction to operate the slider and the recliner from a user; and a control unit that controls the drive unit based on the inputted operation instruction and operates the headrest upward or downward in accordance with the detected position and the detected rotation angle.
Reclining apparatus
A reclining apparatus (51) includes: an internal gear (61) that has internal teeth (61c) which are formed on an inner peripheral surface thereof; an external gear (63) that has external teeth (63a) which have a smaller number of teeth than that of the internal teeth (61c) and are formed on an outer peripheral surface thereof; a first wedge (71) and a second wedge (73) that are provided so as to be movable along a peripheral direction in an eccentric annular space between the internal gear (61) and the external gear (63); and a striker (79) that has a pressing portion having a pair of first protrusion portions and second protrusion portions capable of pressing the first wedge (71) and the second wedge (73). The striker (79) has a plurality of the pressing portions (81, 83).

SURGICAL ROBOTIC SYSTEM HAVING ANTHROPOMETRY-BASED USER CONSOLE
Surgical robotic systems including a user console for controlling a robotic arm or a surgical robotic tool are described. The user console includes components designed to automatically adapt to anthropometric characteristics of a user. A processor of the surgical robotic system is configured to receive anthropometric inputs corresponding to the anthropometric characteristics and to generate an initial console configuration of the user console based on the inputs using a machine learning model. Actuators automatically adjust a seat, a display, or one or more pedals of the user console to the initial console configuration. The initial console configuration establishes a comfortable relative position between the user and the console components. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
