ONE-PIECE STUD AND CLIP

A one-piece stud and clip is provided by a process working sheet material into a monolithic stud and U-clip fastener. The process includes forming an elongated stud from the sheet material, and bending the sheet material to form the clip. The stud can be a rolled cylinder of the sheet material, or an uninterrupted stud drawn from the sheet material.

CURVILINEAR MAGNET AND METHOD OF FABRICATION

A method of fabricating a curvilinear magnet includes forming at least one slot in a material billet. The slotted material billet is inserted into a mold having a curvilinear pocket. The mold is closed around the slotted material billet such that the slotted material billet conforms to the curvilinear pocket and forms a curvilinear billet. The curvilinear billet is arranged in a structure. The curvilinear billet arranged in the structure is then magnetized.

A roll-forming manufacturing method of a roller bearing seal case includes (a) roll-forming, from a cylindrical ring, a first profiled ring having a first section extending along cylinder axis of the cylindrical ring and a second section extending from the first section inward toward the cylinder axis, (b) applying outward pressure to the first section, in direction away from the cylinder axis, to round the first section, and (c) roll-forming a second profiled ring from the first profiled ring.

THIN BOW-STRING CENTRALIZER FOR WELLS

The present disclosure provides a bow-spring centralizer by using thinner bows of advanced alloys and thermal conditioning that can reduce the thickness of the bows compared to traditional bows, and yet provide sufficient restoring force after compression in a tight annulus with little radial thickness. The present disclosure also provides a specially shaped centralizer bow with cross sections that can reduce running force, increase stiffness and strength, and/or still maintain a sufficient restoring force.

A heat exchanger is provided including a first manifold and a second manifold separated from the first manifold. A plurality of heat exchange tube segments are arranged in spaced parallel relationship and fluidly couple the first and second manifold. Each of the plurality of tube segments includes a first heat exchange tube and a second heat exchange tube at least partially connected by a web extending there between. The plurality of heat exchange tube segments includes a bend defining a first section and a second section of the heat exchange tube segments. The first section is arranged at an angle to the second section. A plurality of first fins extends form the first section of the heat exchange tube segments and a plurality of second fins extends from the second section of the heat exchange tube segments.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING A FLAT SPIRAL SPRING, AND BENDING DEVICE FOR PRODUCING SAME
20170216905 · 2017-08-03 ·

The invention relates to a method for producing a flat spiral spring, in particular a spring sheet for covering a cooling area of a piston of internal combustion engines, said spring sheet being formed at least as an annular disk-shaped segment (12), wherein a strip-shaped material (23) is fed to a bending device (27) that comprises at least one drum (29), said drum rotating about a rotational axis (31), and the strip-shaped material (23) is supplied in a tangential alignment to the lateral surface (36) of the drum (29) such that a lateral wall (20) which determines the thickness of the strip-shaped material (23) rests against at least some sections of a contact surface (37) on the lateral surface (36) of the drum (29). The contact surface (37) of the drum (29) has a radius which substantially corresponds to an internal radius of the strip-shaped material (23) to be bent into the segment (12), and at least one deflecting device (32) is aligned at a distance to the drum (29) such that the strip-shaped material (23) is guided in a forced manner between the drum (29) and the deflecting device (32), and the strip-shaped material (23) is bent so as to follow the drum (29) by means of the deflecting device.
