Progressive pressing method, progressive pressing device, manufacturing method for fuel cell separators and manufacturing apparatus for fuel cell separators
A progressive pressing method includes: a first bead molding step of molding a first bead having a length of a second predetermined distance extending in a longitudinal direction of the elongated metal plate, in a side part of a region which becomes a first product part of the elongated metal plate; a first conveying step of conveying the elongated metal plate in the longitudinal direction by a feed amount which is a first predetermined distance; and a second bead molding step of molding a second bead having a length of the second predetermined distance extending in the longitudinal direction of the elongated metal plate, so as to link with the first bead molded in the first bead molding step, in a side part of a region which becomes a second product part of the elongated metal plate, in which the second predetermined distance is longer than the first predetermined distance.
Shielding electrical terminal with knurling on inner contact walls
A shielding electrical terminal is presented herein. The shielding electrical terminal includes a securing portion that is configured to attach to an outer shield conductor of a shielded cable and a cylindrical mating portion having an inner surface configured to make electrical contact with a corresponding cylindrical shield terminal inserted within the mating portion. The inner surface of the mating portion defines a plurality of protrusions that extend from the inner surface.
Flow field plates in fuel cells
A method of producing a flow field plate for a fuel cell comprises over-profiling relief features in a die set to more accurately reproduce the intended flow channel features in the pressed plate. The process includes determining a target relief profile of features extending across the plate along at least a first dimension of the plate, modulating the relief profile with an over-profiling parameter, as a function of the first dimension; forming a die with the modulated relief profile; and pressing a flow field plate using the die with modulated relief profile to thereby produce the unmodulated, target relief profile in the flow field plate.

DENTING DEVICE FOR IMPROVING SURFACE ROUGHNESS OF VALVE PLATE AND VALVE PLATE HAVING DENT PATTERN
A denting device for forming a predetermined pattern on a surface near a discharge hole and an intake hole of a valve plate for a compressor includes: a seating jig to which the valve plate is fixed; a processing pin in which a pressing part for pressing the valve plate is formed at a distal end thereof; and a moving unit which is disposed on an upper portion of the seating jig, horizontally moves the processing pin at a constant speed while allowing the processing pin to vertically reciprocate at a constant speed, so as to form the pattern on the valve plate.

ENERGY-DISSIPATING COVER AND METHODS FOR MAKING THE COVER
An energy-dissipating cover for covering a component sensitive to mechanical impulse includes a sheet of selected ferrous or aluminum alloy, the sheet having a top surface, a bottom surface, an outer perimeter, an overall area within the outer perimeter and a nominal thickness of no more than 2.5 mm. The sheet is configured for connection with one or more external structures at a plurality of connection points within the outer perimeter, wherein the overall area comprises a plurality of supported areas and at least one unsupported area. Embossments are formed within the at least one unsupported area and extend outward from the bottom surface. The embossments are shaped, sized and arranged so as to limit orthogonal deflection of the sheet from a mechanical impulse directed normal to the bottom surface of the sheet at the plurality of embossments.
MANUFACTURING METHOD OF PRESS-FORMED ARTICLE, PRESS-FORMED ARTICLE, AND PRESS FORMING APPARATUS
A manufacturing method of a press-formed article includes arranging a member to be pressed between first and second dies, and relatively moving the first and second dies so as to approach each other, thereby press forming to a portion to be pressed so that a height of the portion to be pressed decreases. In the press forming step, while first bent portions in a pair each bent in a protruded shape toward the second die on the portion to be pressed are held by groove-shaped holding portions in a pair separated from each other on the second die, a second bent portion bent in a protruded shape from a position between the first bent portions toward the first die on the portion to be pressed is pressed and deformed by a pressing portion of the first die.
Method for manufacturing separator
A method for manufacturing a separator that can effectively prevent warpage is provided. A method for manufacturing a separator according to an embodiment includes disposing a separator material including a flow path forming region between a first upper die and a first lower die, and pressing the separator material using the first upper die and the first lower die to thereby form a first recessed and projected shape in the flow path forming region and form a second recessed and projected shape outside the flow path forming region.
Metal plate stamping method and stamping apparatus
A metal plate stamping method is provided for cutting a metal plate, on which a bulging portion is formed through stamping, at a cutting area that is defined in a portion other than the bulging portion. The method includes forming a bead on the opposite side of the cutting area from the bulging portion and crushing the bead prior to the cutting of the metal plate.
