A chair (10) has a chair frame (20) with a seat base (22), a seat cushion (30) sized and adapted for removable placement in the seat base and a chair back (26), attached to the seat base. A cover assembly for use therewith has a web (32) of water-resistant material, with first and second ends (34, 36) and a biased, window-shade type spring roller (50), positioned in the seat base. The first end of the web of water resistant material is attached to the spring roller and the second end of the web of water resistant material is provided with means for removably attaching the second end to the chair frame. In a first, deployed condition, the web of water-resistant material extends across a top surface of the seat cushion; and in a second, non-deployed condition, the web of water-resistant material is rolled onto the biased, window-shade type spring roller.

The portable beach chair comprises a chair having a body support portion and a back support portion with the back support portion hingedly connected to the body support portion and releasably securable in a desired angular position. A water reservoir secured to the back support portion holds a predetermined amount of water. A showerhead is fluidly connected to the water reservoir with the showerhead positioned above the back support portion and directing a water flow from the water reservoir in a general direction toward both the body support portion and the back support portion. Upon introducing water through the showerhead from the water reservoir, the water flow through the showerhead cools the person thereby eliminating any need for the person to access a hose or go into a waterbody to cool off.

A front support member, a rear support member and an intermediate support member support a cabana fabric roof. The front support member is movable between a rear support position, an intermediate support position and a front support position. A guide rail is attached to the frame beneath said seat which has a front stop, an intermediate stop and a rear stop. Manipulating a control rod causes a cabana fabric hood to be fully extended when the rod is secured in the front stop, to be partially collapsed when the rod is secured in the intermediate stop, and to be fully collapsed when the rod is secured in the rear stop.

The first and second furniture portions each comprise a number of slats that are intermeshed with and are slidable between the slats of the other one of the first and second furniture portions. Each slat comprises a hinge portion pivotally attached to the hinge member, an arm extending away from the hinge portion and a free extremity opposite the hinge portion. The first and second furniture portions are capable of adopting at least:•a first position wherein the arms of the slats of the first furniture portion extend away from the hinge member and through the arms of the slats of the second furniture portion; and•a second position in which the arms of the slats of the first furniture portion extend away from hinge and away from the arms of the slats of the second furniture portion without crossing or extending through the arms of the slats of the second furniture portion. The first and second positions of the first and second furniture portions are both operable for use of the furniture unit by a user.

The shade canopy has a moveable leading end and a fixed trailing end. In the operational condition of the sun shelter, the length of the shade canopy can be increased by extending the leading end of the shade canopy relative to the trailing end, or the length can be decreased by retracted the leading end.

The holder may be configured with an accessory that is received within a top end of the holder. The accessory may include a camera mount, a sighting rest, and a horizontal support platform, which may be configured as a work surface or a seat. The legs and bottom end of the lower support member may have ground penetrating tips to secure the holder in an upright position relative a ground surface.

Configurable seating assembly

A configurable seating assembly includes a plurality of rectangular pad assemblies disposed within a durable cover assembly. The cover includes a generally triangular or tapered upper chamber forming a back support portion above a generally rectangular lower chamber forming a body support portion. A wedge assembly, manufactured from a foam material, is removably positioned in the upper chamber, and the pads, manufactured from a foam material, are positioned in the compartments of a separator assembly within the lower chamber thereby providing a seating apparatus. A front panel at the forward end of the lower chamber provides an opening into the cover assembly allowing insertion and removal of the wedge and pads. The pads may be removed from the cover and arranged on the floor providing pads for sleeping. The front panel is releasably secured to the cover by cooperating removable connectors.
