Device and Method for Shaping a Component
Device for shaping a component, comprising a first tool and a second tool, which can be moved relative to one another along a movement axis to shape a component to be placed between the tools, wherein a surface of the first tool can be extended transverse to the movement axis in an extension region. With the described device and with the described method, components, in particular sheet steel components, can be shaped in such a way that contours that are oriented in parallel to a movement axis of the tools are particularly well formed. In particular circular shapes can thus be formed with particularly good accuracy. Negative influences of fluctuations of the thickness of the component can be offset. The device and the method are particularly suitable for the production of wheel rims for motor vehicles.

Elastomer formed beaded joint
A method for forming a conduit with a radial flange for forming part of a beaded coupling by: positioning a conduit blank in a forming die, wherein the forming die defines a radially extending recess; inserting a forming post in the conduit blank to define an annular space therebetween; inserting a flexible material in the annular space between the post and the conduit; placing a sleeve in a bearing relationship with the flexible material; compressing the flexible material between the post and the sleeve to force the flexible material against the conduit to expand the conduit outward into engagement with the radially extending recess in the forming die to form an annular flange; and releasing compression on the flexible material.
Balanced panel punch drive system
A balanced panel punch drive system. The system includes a main hydraulic drive including an outer casing forming an internal housing and a main piston slidably disposed within the internal housing. A main fluid chamber, a first output chamber and a second output chamber are formed within the internal housing. A pump is fluidly connected to the main fluid chamber by an input line. A first die hydraulic cylinder and a second die hydraulic cylinder each have an outer casing forming an internal housing and a die piston slidably disposed within the internal housing. An opening is formed through an end of the outer casing sized to receive a distal end of the die piston therethrough. A first output line fluidly connects the first output chamber to the first die hydraulic cylinder and a second output line fluidly connects the second output chamber to the second die hydraulic cylinder.

Universal radius forming system
A universal radius metal forming system wherein a bottom die elastomer is used on a sheet metal bending machine or press brake. The bottom die includes a forming pad used in combination with a wear pad to form virtually any radius in any type of metal. The forming pad includes a bottom cavity that is sized according to the volumetric relationship with the press punch. The wear pad is designed and coupled to the forming pad according to the gauge and shape of the metal being bent.
Producing method, producing apparatus and producing equipment line of press formed product
A producing method of the press formed product includes a preparation step of preparing a metal sheet as a starting material; and a press working step of performing press working on the starting material. The press working step includes: during a time period from when pushing-in of the starting material into the die by the punch is started or immediately thereafter until the pushing-in of the punch with respect to the die reaches a predetermined distance short of a bottom dead point for the pushing-in, holding the pad at a position distant from the punch by the predetermined distance; when the pushing-in of the punch with respect to the die reaches the predetermined distance short of the bottom dead point, receiving the pad in the die; and continuing the pushing-in of the punch with respect to the die and the pad to the bottom dead point.

STAMP-FORMING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A stamp-forming system includes a lower die formed of elastomeric material and having lower die lateral sides. In addition, the stamp-forming system includes a die wall configured to encircle the lower die lateral sides, and move vertically relative to the lower die. Also included in the stamp-forming system is an upper die configured to move between an open position in which the upper die is separated from the die wall and the lower die, and a clamped position in which the upper die is in contact with the die wall and applying clamping pressure to a blank against the lower die, to thereby form the blank into a formed article. The die wall is sized and configured to prevent lateral expansion of the lower die when the lower die is vertically compressed by the clamping pressure applied by the upper die.
