PRESS MOLDING DEVICE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
A press molding device includes a first die for supporting the work piece and a second die arranged to face the first die. The first die includes a punch including a first molding surface for molding the work piece and a blank holder that is movably arranged along a side surface that extends from the first molding surface of the punch and includes the supporting surface for supporting the end portion of the work piece. The second die includes the die portion that includes the second molding surface that faces the first molding surface and is used for molding the work piece and the trimming portion configured integrally with the die portion. The trimming portion includes the blade portion for cutting the end portion of the work piece. The die portion includes a flow path for circulating a refrigerant to cool the work piece along the second molding surface.

Cupper draw pad
A draw pad reduces instances and the extent of earing when a blank of metal is clamped and punched during a drawing process that results in the formation a cup-shaped body from the blank. A draw pad for a cupping press includes an inner surface that defines a draw aperture that is configured to receive a punch. The draw pad also includes a clamping surface that has a first force concentrating segment disposed circumferentially spaced apart from a second force concentrating segment, where each force concentrating segment includes a first arcuate groove and a second arcuate groove that is disposed concentric and radially spaced apart from the first arcuate groove.

Press forming method and press forming apparatus
This press forming method is a press forming method of manufacturing a press-formed article from a workpiece sheet using a press forming apparatus including a punch, a die, a punch pad, and a die pad, in which, when the workpiece sheet is clamped between the die and the punch, a surface of the workpiece sheet on a die side in a section between a point in contact with a die bottom end shoulder portion and a point in contact with the die pad is in non-contact with the die and the die pad, and an end surface of a punch side blank holding surface adjacent to a punch shoulder portion is flush with the punch shoulder portion or located on a more inner side of the punch than the punch shoulder portion.

MANUFACTURING DEVICE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR COMPONENT HAVING HAT-SHAPED SECTION
A manufacturing device manufactures a component having a hat-shaped section as a pad and a punch sandwiching a center portion of a metal plate, and a die and a holder sandwiching both side portions of the metal plate are moved relative to each other in the upper-lower direction. The manufacturing device includes the die, the pad provided inside an opening of the die so that the pad is able to move relative to the die, the punch arranged to face the pad in the upper-lower direction, the holder arranged around the punch so as to face the die in the upper-lower direction and be able to move downwardly, and a locking block provided on the holder. The locking block is moved from a non-facing position to a facing position and inserted between the pad and the holder after mold closing and before mold opening.
Draw-in control for sheet drawing
A method of forming a finished stamped product includes positioning a blank on a blank holder between an upper die and a lower die, inserting a movable wedge block between the blank holder and the upper die to establish a first binder gap, and while the movable wedge block is inserted, performing a first strike of the blank by lowering the upper die a first distance to contact and partially form the blank, the movable wedge block limiting downward movement of the upper die relative to the lower die. After the first strike, withdrawing the movable wedge block to establish a second binder gap between the blank holder and the upper die, and while the movable wedge block is withdrawn, performing a second strike of the blank by lowering the upper die a second distance to finally form the blank into the finished product.
HOLD DEVICE
A hold device is attached to press tooling. The hold device includes a distance member attached to a holder, and a moving device attached to a first die unit. The holder is provided in a movable manner with respect to a punch in a press direction, and a pad is provided in a movable manner with respect to a die in the press direction. The distance member is pivotable between a home position in which the distance member does not come into contact with the second die and a preventive position in which the distance between the pad and the holder in the press direction is prevented from being equal to or less than a predetermined distance. As the holder moves relative to the punch in the first direction, the moving device causes the distance member to pivot from the home position toward the preventive position.
