PRESSED COMPONENT MANUFACTURING METHOD AND PRESS APPARATUS
A method for manufacturing a pressed component including an elongated top plate, a wall having one end connected to a short direction end portion of the top plate, that curves with a convex shape bowing toward an opposite side to the top plate as viewed from an upper side of the top plate, and that includes a sharp curve portion, and a flange that is connected to another end of the wall, and that extends in a plate thickness direction of the wall toward the opposite side to the top plate side. The manufacturing method includes pressing to form an intermediate formed component including a preliminary flange and pressing to deform the preliminary flange to form the preliminary flange into the flange.
Electromagnetic stamping method and device
The present disclosure relates to an electromagnetic stamping method and an electromagnetic stamping device. The electromagnetic stamping method includes: dividing a blank holder of a stamping device into a plurality of blank holder areas based on a contour characteristic of a workpiece to be stamped; setting a blank holder force function over time for each blank holder area based on a shape characteristic of the blank holder area; collecting blank holder force data of each blank holder area every cycle period t0, and calculating an error between the blank holder force data and a value of the blank holder force function at a current time; and controlling a blank holder force for each blank holder area based on the error, and obtaining the workpiece to be stamped by stamping sheet material under the blank holder force.
Press-molded article manufacturing method and press apparatus
A method of manufacturing a press-molded article includes: projecting an inner pad, provided at an apex portion of a punch, from the punch toward a side of a die, and disposing a metal sheet blank on the inner pad; and projecting a die pad, provided at the die, from the die toward a side of the punch to dispose the die pad at a position separated from the inner pad by a predetermined distance that is greater than a plate thickness of the metal sheet blank; forming a side walls by moving the die toward the punch side relative to the die pad, the inner pad, and the punch, and integrating the die pad with the die; and forming a top plate by moving the die and the die pad, which have been integrated, and the inner pad, toward the punch side relative to the punch.

Draw die and binder lock
A single action draw press and a draw die set for the single action draw are disclosed. The single action draw press and die include a bolster and a stationary punch. A cushion is assembled to the bolster to support a binder ring that is adapted to be engaged by a die attached to a press ram. The die is reciprocated by the press ram relative to the bolster while a mechanical lock engages the die and the binder ring. The die contacts the binder ring and a mechanical lock secures the die and binder ring together while the die draws a panel over the stationary punch.

Indexing self-aligning hardware tool
The indexing self-aligning hardware tool can join components and includes a first tool section including a die carrier, one or more dies coupled to the die carrier, and a first locator coupled to the die carrier. The indexing self-aligning hardware tool also includes a second tool section having a support body, one or more blankholders coupled to the support body, one or more punches movably disposed inside the blankholders, and a second locator coupled to the support body. The first locator and the second locator are configured to mate with a product feature locator of a component to align the first tool section relative to the second tool section.

Pressed component manufacturing method, press, and press line
Disclosed is a method to manufacture a pressed component from an intermediate stock, which includes two bent portions with a spacing thereof narrower than a width of a top plate of the pressed component, by employing a press including a die having a die pad and a punch having an inner pad, the method including: gripping a portion between the bent portions with the inner pad and the die pad in a state in which the inner pad projects from the punch and the die pad projects from the die; moving the die toward the punch side to form vertical walls of the pressed component with the die and the punch; and integrating the die and the die pad and then moving the die, the die pad and the inner pad toward the punch side to form the top plate.
METHOD AND DIE SET FOR FORMING A SURFACE IN A METAL PANEL
A die set for forming a panel having a surface includes a stationary die, a moveable die, and a clamp attached to the stationary die to secure a panel blank. The moveable die includes a moveable brazing formation surface and the stationary die includes a stationary brazing formation surface for forming the surface. One of the moveable and stationary dies includes a male bead forming portion, and the other includes a female bead forming portion for forming a bead. The male and female bead forming portions extend in a continuous and uninterrupted, generally parallel relationship with the moveable and stationary brazing formation surfaces. The male and female bead forming portions are operable to engage the panel blank during movement of the moveable die to induce tensile forces in both a first direction parallel to a path of the surface and a second direction transverse to the path.
