A portable saddle seat wherein, in one embodiment, the saddle seat can be a stadium seat which can be placed on top of a stadium bleacher. The portable saddle seat can be folding or non-folding and can optionally include a handle formed therein. One or more straps can be attached to the seat to permit a user to easily carry the seat on his or her shoulders or back. In one embodiment, one or more seat cushions can be attached to or disposed on the seat. Optionally, foldable and/or extendable legs can be provided so that the saddle seat can be disposed a distance above a supporting surface.

In one aspect, seating apparatus are described herein. In some embodiments, a seating apparatus comprises a seating surface, two arms projecting upwardly from the seating surface, and a fastening strap. The fastening strap is operable to be adjusted between a tightened position and a loosened position. When the fastening strap is adjusted to the tightened position, it is operable to restrict motion of the seating surface relative to the chair.

The cushion may further include a belt for use as a belted support in freely moving activities and exercises.

An outdoor seating assembly is disclosed herein. The outdoor seating assembly includes a seat support structure; a seat portion coupled to the seat support structure, the seat portion configured to accommodate an individual disposed in a seated position; a seat back portion coupled to the seat support structure, the seat back portion configured to support a back of the individual; and at least one photovoltaic panel, the at least one photovoltaic panel attached to one of the seat portion and the seat back portion, the at least one photovoltaic panel geometrically conforming to a curvature of the one of the seat portion and the seat back portion. In one embodiment, at least one photovoltaic panel is coupled to the seat portion in an angularly adjustable manner. In another embodiment, at least one reflective device is provided for reflecting a portion of the solar radiation striking a seat member.

An outdoor seating assembly is disclosed herein. The outdoor seating assembly includes a seat support structure; a seat portion coupled to the seat support structure, the seat portion configured to accommodate an individual disposed in a seated position; a seat back portion coupled to the seat support structure, the seat back portion configured to support a back of the individual; and at least one photovoltaic panel, the at least one photovoltaic panel attached to one of the seat portion and the seat back portion, the at least one photovoltaic panel geometrically conforming to a curvature of the one of the seat portion and the seat back portion. In one embodiment, at least one photovoltaic panel is coupled to the seat portion in an angularly adjustable manner. In another embodiment, at least one reflective device is provided for reflecting a portion of the solar radiation striking a seat member.

A portable chair for use on plank-style seating has upper and lower back supports connecting to a seat section that can be arranged relative to one another in an extended position, a partially open position, or a folded position. The upper back support folds onto the lower back support and includes slope edges to minimize the overall shape while still providing support. The lower back support includes a crossbar to further support the user when the chair is in its partially open position. The seat section includes a swivel assembly to facilitate different seating environments and heighten enjoyment for the chair's user. The chair can be locked into a folded position for stowing and transporting and further includes carrying straps. Foldable armrests provide additional comfort for the chair's user. Preferably, in its extended position, the back supports recline relative to the seat section between 90 and 180 degrees.

A portable surface for lounging or sleeping with an elevated leg rest and backrest, and a seat that rests on the ground or other supporting surface such as a car seat, truck bed or bleacher. The various parts of the chair can be folded up and nest inside of each other in a compact bundle that may fit in a backpack or a map pocket for easy portability. When folded up, a strap can be tightened around the apparatus preventing the innards from unfolding, creating a smaller profile.
